Just finished this on Tuesday. Took the pics today. I think it looks pretty good for a beginner. I also painted the exterior of my headlights and tinted them along with the sidemarkers (those pics in another post). Here's the console pics:

The paint came from a local paint shop that custom makes spray cans. They usually won't do that at Lowe's or Home Depot. It cost me $15 per can.
As for the A/C vents, everyone seems to want to know. There is a forum with a pictured description here:

How'd you mount the stereo in the console compartment? How much cutting involved behind the trim? I wanna do something similar. :)

I've written up the audio dash install and the steering wheel on here before, so if you do a few searches you should find it

perry190, for some reason I think your engine is bay is the best looking I've ever seen on any celica here. I've seen others with the same items painted, but somehow your's looks way better than any I've seen.

Jap8746, awsome job! Looks really sweet. Perry190, I have a few questions. To start with, how did you paint the middle of the steering wheel, the parts on the door and around the foorwells? WHat kind of prep work did that involve? It looks really nice and i'd be interested in doing it. Secondly, is that a custom job on your hood? Thanks!

I removed the air bag to paint it, I did a thread on this last year
The door is a tricky masking job, but not to hard as long as you havnty used to much silicone polish as the tape wont stick, the bits under the dash etc all un-bolt easy enough
prep was, wash hard with detergent/water mix, rinse, dry, plastic primer, white primer, 8 colour (uk spelling) coats and 4 lacquers (clear coat)
The hood I did myself, there is a thread on that with ongoing pics etc as well
hope that helps

Perry I forgot to say, the extremor vents line up with the bonnet vents so sweetly. We'll pretend it was 'by design' shall we
