Only problem I had was the passenger side headlight had a sealant problem and that it had water get into the headlight.

i may be late to ask this, but did anyone ever get the rattling sunroof problem fixed?
Well its my THIRD WEEK with my 2002 GT-S and im at 1040 miles on it (had to go out of state to get a good deal) AND NO PROBLEMS. In fact im keepin my car under TLC like a baby, Just like the 2001 GT i traded it in for. The GT was black ... and my new GT-S is silver ........ I must say its ALLOT easyer to take care of cleaning wise;)

36K and no problems yet. I had a CEL once, but it was cause the damn gas station attendant didn't tighten the gas cap.

I only have 12000 on mine (one year). Big reason I bought my celica was because of a friends 91 Celica GT. He has 278,000 miles on his and has had to do only minimal repairs. Most expensive was timing belt broke.

Only problem happened after I slammed on the brakes once to avoid getting hit...the rear brakes had to be adjusted.
Then there was the paint chip issue.
