tokico shocks

i got a question, someone here is selling tokico shocks (used) they have about 5-7000 miles on them...i was wondering if these shocks, or shocks in general, get worn out, and if they do how long or how many miles until they start to go dwindle in their performance.

I think the standard was that performance starts to deteriorate after 25k miles or so, but that may just be for stock struts.

i'd be careful buying used shocks unless it's from someone you know. they should last a while, but there's always a chance one is blown and the seller decided to swap out the whole set and is selling em to get rid of the busted one. once he sends out the merchandise that may be the last you hear from him...
