hey all...

anyone want to share some new music? I recently got Pat Benatar's new album called Go! which is really cool. Its the same ol Pat Benatar but it sounds really metal! She does her normal "you hurt me really bad and now im gonna kick you in the head" lyrics but with a new perspective and sound.

If any of you are into LinkinPark, you may enjoy another band I've been listening to called Pillar. They are a cross between LinkinPark, Creed and LimpBiskit. Think Metal, rapping and a positive message. The album is called Fireproof. Bad ass album! it's on sale at Tower till tomorrow for $9.99

If you like Avril Lavigne you will like Liz Phairs new album called... well Liz Phair. The album was partly produced and written by the same music team that did Avrils album called the Matrix. The Matrix is a combo song writing prodution team that has been writing a lot of hit songs now days.

Another group that I will hail as the second coming of Nirvana is called Smile Empty Soul (also on sale till tomorrow at Towers for 9.99) This band kicks ass with some heavy guitar work and vocals reminiscent of Kurt Cobain. Kinda a cross between Hoobastank, Puddle of Mudd and Nirvana. Highly Recommended.

For people who want to get mellow/pop, go check out Amy Grants new album called Simple Things. The first 4 songs are a departure for Amy but the rest of the album has her back at her pop/gospel roots.

I'll do more but i'd like to hear what you all are listening to...

yeah ive been gainin interest in jpop recently and keep buggin ronnica to download more. utada seems to be a safe bet, but i kinda like mai kuraki's songs more. altho i only heard like two hahaha.

i read in maxim or stuff that liz phair's album was a piece of shet lol. like everyone remembered the old music and then it disappeared, and now it has returned with complete garbage. but of course, reviews are never universal opinions!

maxim reviews are usually shet in my opinion. maxim is a great mag but some of the stuff they think is cool really cant be real.

i think all artists should have the opportunity to try new things and Liz decided she wanted to do pop instead of her usual alt stuff. her fan base was very upset but i think it works. its kinda like the cardigans who change music genres each album. thier last album grand tourismo was an electronica/guitar phenomenon but i didnt really like their previous albums at all.

havent listened to jpop since my college days with mari iijima and the macross soundtrack.... oh the memories.

Lately I've been listening to Sheryl Crow agian. I really like her new CD. Evanescence is still playing a lot too. The new Bond CD is pretty good as well to. But I really hope that Sarah Mclachlan come out with a new CD soon.

i concur the new (year old?) sheryl crow is possibly one of the best albums of the year aside from John Mayers room for squares.

damn cardigans...that's a memory for me :) i dunno, i thought they were consistent with their music until they finally hit mainstream. then things got whack and i kinda stopped listening to them.

in any case, im so out of music already. i jus listen to whatevers on the radio. it's gotten to the point where i dont know titles of songs and who sings what unless it's an older artist that i can recognize. :)
