I've got about 1,000 on the new short block and it doesn't seem to be as quick as before I hydrolocked my motor at 37,000.
My suspicions were comfirmed when I went to the track (Abilene Dragstrip) on Friday. Last spring I was hitting 9.9's stock consistantly. On Friday the best I could do was a 10.3 and I had the interior fully stripped. The track conditions were relatively similiar.
I now have Yokohama ES100's (225/45) on the stock rims. Minus the fact that my 60's sucked on Friday, not enough to make the differance in the et's, can the low mileage on the short block effect my times that much? Just wondering how many miles have to be put on the 2zz before I can see peak performance again.
