Any ways to prevent or hide a light surface scratch??? I have a spectra blue celica, and I found it really hard to prevent getting swirl marks all over and now I found 2 scratch on my door.
do you think waxing can cover it up for awhile??? and what type of wax?

Dude, don't worry about the scratches, I too have a spectra blue Celica and **** happens. I found that light surface scratches are hardly noticable and even harder to spot after a good washing and waxing. I waxed my car this weekend and it has never looked better. I use Mother's Car Wax, and it is more expensive than other waxes, but it works like a charm. I hear Mother's Clay Bar is good for surface scratches as well, but I couldn't testify to that as I haven't used one yet. Anyways, I hope this helped.

Clay bar does not remove scratches. It removes surface contamination on the paint (oxidation, road debris, etc.)

Many companies have some sort of light scratch remover products. Wash the car, clay bar it, use the scratch remover as directed, polish, wax, and it should be good. In my experiences if the scratches/swirls are light enough any 3 step clean, polish, wax system (mother's, meguiars) should work to hide them. If they are too deep either live with it or take it to a professional.
