i dunno..i just got my 2002 gts 6spd for 4 months now and it doesn't feel that fast anymore..the acceleration in the first 2 gears are "ok"...when i first got it it felt damn fast but now it doens' tseem to feel as fast...

it's probably more the fact that i got used to the speed than anything else...but just wondering, could there be anything that makes it slower?

and is gunning it before it's warmed it very bad? the rev limiter kicked in and stopped the gas at around 6500rpm

dont ask me why i did such a stupid thing..i was just pissed off the stupid thing feels so slow =)

well the rev limiter is lower at cooler temperature for a reason, to prevent damage.. though i wouldnt do that much even though the rev limiter is lower at cooler temps doesnt mean it makes it invincible. as for feeling slower, i dont know mine feels faster.. i got mine back in july as the late revision 2001's, so getting it during the warm months and going into the cold months probably makes a difference..

I usually rev my engine for about 3 minutes before i take off ... the temp meter is all the way down .. but i know its warmin up good> This car takes no time to warm up ! I am going to be more carefull when the car has been sitting for a while.

Step 1: Sell your car
Step 2: buy a FAST car

i feel that way too, and i only had my car for about a week, but my car feels a good deal slower now then when i first got it. I dunno if it's my car or just in my head. I once smoked the clutch (dunno the term for that) goin up hill, so that prolly had somethin to do with it? or how can i tell when to replace the clutch?

hahaha yeah i smoked mine when i first got mine too cuz ijust learned how to drive stick not too long beforethat
it's all good =)

but i was talking to some people and supposedly the car is supposed to feel faster after it's all broken in and i'm pretty sure my car is all broken in now with 6000km but it feels less powerful than when i first gunned it at 1500km
strange
pretty sure it's psychological though :P gunning it for the first time felt really good back then

The correct term is "slipping/burning the clutch" not smoking.
As for it being slow, you get used to your car.
I would recommend getting a CAI installed.
but bad thing is that u get used to that too.
But man, When i went from CAI to stock again, it felt real weak.

What does that have to do with how fast the car feels? If you really abused you clutch hardcore, it could be slipping on you under hard acceleration. I would doubt that with only 6,000kms though, that would take ridiculous abuse (although I wouldn't put that past everyone). Quick test I heard about, while stopped and the brakes on, put it into 6th and drop the clutch. If the engine stalls right away, your clutch is fine, if not, that could be your answer to a slower car.

honestly.. its all in yer head.. you get used to it and it just dont feel fast anymore.. nitrous is a quick solvent to that problem :)

its like when you first go out w/ a girl you think is really hot.. and then after a few months you don't think she's so hot anymore.. its not that she's changed.. its just that you've gotten bored..

Hit the nail on the head right there. Some things are just never good enough for long enough for some people.

Like others have said , you should throw a cold air intake on, that'll take care of things for you...... for a while....

Thats nice, come to the board and shoot down the cars.. If you are ever ready enought to step up and see just how slow your 300z is, let me know, but first I would look below in the sig very closely.

And yes I know all about 3z's, I use to have one, a 90, modded that ran 12's. And yes my Supra would kill that old car in EVERY way, handling, braking, acceleration and comfort. (But I do still love 3z's, just 2nd to a Supra)
