View Full Version : best oil in Civic HB?

My friend that has a 2000 HB DX with Intake and exhaust was wondering if Mobil 1 engine oil will do any benefits to the car. The reason is that its a 106hp motor not Vtec..what do yuo guys think...should he use Mobil if he drives the car normal and occasionally races or its a waste of money.

BTW last week he won against this kid in an auto GTS..what a shame

That is a shame. 106hp vs 180.

You should tell him not to use any oil in it so that crappy little motor can go the way of the dyno :D

Why the hell would you waste mobil 1 on a DX motor?

He loves his HB and is on a tight budget ( came from europe last year) so thats why he decided on the car.
I know its nothing compared to a GT-S 6speed.....but that thing does move for 106hp......a 2002 Accord coupe V6 inched away when they raced from a 45mph+
Even though to me the car is slow as a snail...but then again i had an All-trac and now i have an Evolution.

Yeah I know I was a Honda Tech for a bit. For real though tell him not to waste his money on Mobil 1 on the motor. Tell him to Use only HONDA oil filters adn just regular 5w-30.
