What I do is hold on to it really tight and flail it around so that all the water comes out. Makes you tired, but takes 15 minutes tops. I had my little brother use his small hands to wipe the excess water inside the filter though.
I knew that there was still SOME water in it, so after I put it back on I just made sure not to press the gas more than 50% in, so that the water doesn't get sucked in. Given the summer season, it only took a few hours after that to dry completely.
No problems whatsoever. Filter's great, too.
Well, after looking at mine again, about 1.5 hours after cleaning, I feel it is relatively dry, and will put it back on for a ~1 mile ride to the grocery store.
when i use to have a cai, i cleaned it and than shook the water off. put it back on and let it dry on the intake. could be bad if water dripped into the intake but i had no problems.
I hate working on my car at night, as I tend to be tired and lose things, so I usually do maintenance during the day. Plus my Celi is my only car and I'm busy almost every day, so I'm always in somewhat of a hurry.

aren't you supposed to spray some oil on after it dries?
Thank-you. I tried to capture everything in that shot.
