Epic celica. +1 for the Ti-C. I still remember prototyping that thing for them.

wow, must be nice to know that you were one of the pioneers for a nice product. I just slapped my Ti-C exhaust on yesterday, and i really like it. The sound isn't too loud (w/silencer) and it looks great with the trial rear.

i still can't get over that fact that you shot your car with lisa fleming...man. haha.

hmm...i dont know. not sure if i'll go that route. But, there is still a decent sized list of things i want to add to the celica before i call it complete.

Yea the Ti-C is a good all around. Only gripe I ever had with it was it was a tad bigger than I would've liked.

I'm envious of your trial kit and CCW's. Never thought CCW's would look so good on a celica. You've got great taste in mods. What's next if no boost?

Well i have a c-one underpanel coming in. I would like to add a pair of Bride Cuga seats (blue or black) with matching floor mats and thinking about geting my rear seats redone in Bride fabric. Not sure if that would be overkill though, i'll look into it. replace the heavy oem hood with a cf hood, either varis v1 (with the two vents) or the c-one v1 w/o the vents. BBK, not sure what brand yet, still researching that. And maybe...just maybe the trial wing, but i'm iffy on adding the wing. I like the sleek look of the wingless trial. That's what i'm planning so far.

I've seen people pull off the Bride fabric even on non-show cars. As long as you don't wrap EVERYTHING, I think you'll be fine.

Varis hood. Get it! The fitment and weave on that thing are sex. You'd have to remove or move your cruise control though, just fyi. It's easy to do, just a pain. The hood won't close otherwise.

BBK...hmmm, getting it for the looks or function? And honestly, unless you track your car, I always advise against a wing.

Yea, it's a toss up between not wanting the cruise control or not when it comes to choosing the varis. Although, i hardly use it anyways, so maybe i wont even know it's gone.

BBK for both function and aesthetics, with looks weighing more heavily in my decision.

And i hear ya on the wing. But...the trial wing just completes the look though. haha. it's still on the back burner, i wont be thinking about that again for awhile.

Greddy exhaust went on last week. And removed my silencer today since it was robbing my car of lift in 2nd gear and bogging after 6000rpm. Unfortunately, now my car is LOUD! May have to put the silencer back in to be more neighborhood, and cop, friendly.

Cruise control is overrated. I never missed mine.

If you need a second opinion on BBK's, shoot me a PM. I ran a Wilwood set-up on my car but I've owned or driven plenty of others as well.

Frank - yea, we'll definitely shoot, rain or shine!

btw, i did a little shoot (with a point and shoot) today after getting her nice and clean. That storm really took a toll on my wheels. They became almost as brown as my Works.

Some wheel whoring...

Cookie - i agree, it is overrated. haha. i think i may have only used it once this whole year. I'll definitely KIT when i started shopping for a BBK. Thanks man!

fabez14 - haha, thanks! I'm trying to rep the celica well. :

kamispeed is selling the c-one cf engine covers for $100, which is a steal if you ask me. they should have some left. hit up the vendor forums for kamispeed's c-one clearance sale.

^thanks! My Greddy came with it's own silencer. I see tanabe on your mod list, maybe check their site to see if they have a silencer available. A lot of brands do carry them separately.

Switched out my greedy ti-c with the tanabe touring medalion. Much quieter now, and I think it looks more clean. It was dark once I finished installing the exhaust so ill take more pics later.

Old thread I know but since you had the 225-45 tire size that I'm planning on going with and BC coils, I figured I'd ask you how the ride comfort was and if you experience any rubbing issues. I see that you went with a 7 and 9 in the rear for the coils but you said you went lower. Did you change the spring rate? I think you're car is sexy af and the height isn't bad at all in my opinion. But in this day and age it's all about converting your car in to a snow plow.

Ill answer since crizzz isnt very active any more and that i did his coilover install and went on a 3 hour road trip in it after.

Comfort is what you expect out of any coilover system.
The 7/9k felt stiff yet comfortable to daily drive.
Chrishas the normal BR coils and has space to go lower up front and almost maxed out in the rear.
The 17x8.5 18 offset 225/45/17 only rub the rears while going fast and hitting a big bump and the part thats rubbing is the oem rear bumper support that i say needs to be cut/notched and pulled.
Chris wanted an even balance of function and form knowing what i go through driving my car everyday lol.

Might as well update this with the photoshoot we had earlier this year.

Thanks again for answering my questions. Some really useful information. I'm thinking about getting 6 in the front and 8 in the rear but from what you stated, I can probably go 7 and 9. I never have people in the back seat so this would work perfect for me. I'm in love with this stance. That trial kit is great it's what I'm going with. I know it's not original since Chris and Jintei have gone with the same setup but oh well.
