electrical problem

Hey...I tried to mount led lights under my dash to light up when I opened the doors...spliced them into the overhead harness at the dome light, turned it on and nothing happened. Now , as a result of that I have lost my clock lighting (displays very dimly when lights are turned on manually) ,lost the cig lighter and of course...no dome lights. Have checked the fuses and all are fine , wtf did I do and what could be some possible cures for this situation???

Check multi fuses. Sometimes that's the cause

Be sure to check your fuse box not only under your hood, but on the inside of your passenger side center console as well. The passenger console piece should come off, and there will be all of your fuses!

If you blew a fuse, they wouldn't be coming on at all. My guess is that you don't have enough power in that harness to run those LED's. Then again, check the 7.5 Multi Fuse in the passenger side Fuse box.

ACTUALLY the clock will dim if you do blow a multi fuse. I thought my clock was bad and went to replace it, Then I discovered a blown fuse and BAM bright clock again.
