Running a NX Ntercooler

So I will be installing this next week. I have a few questions about this.

I need to purchase an Arming switch and purge switch and suggestions, and also I need wiring, any suggestions?

What do you mean by arming switch? I believe the swith comes with it. You don't need the purge either, as you can just close the bottle and spray whatever you have left in the lines right onto your intercooler anyways. It's not like you're adding fuel, or nitroust to the engine. It will be the same as purging basically. You won't need anything else besides the kit itself.

Then you can just goto any Radioshack, Kragen, etc and get a switch for the kit, and some wires. THat's about all you'll need. If it doesn't come with the relay, then I would suggest you get one too.

I wonder if NX has any goodies. I was thinking about selling the 5lbs bottle and purchasing a 15lbs bottle.

sorry to go offtopic but damn Oleg, your 1/4 improved A LOT with your nitrous. More than almost 1.5 seconds improved. Nice!

I had burned valves when I ran at the track previously. I didn't know about it, until I did a compression check. Swapped in some new valves and it was all better, but the nitrous did help. My main problem was not landing in lift before, but with nitrous it really doesnt matter.

Why don't you just run a 20shot or so (or whatever the smallest shot is you can get)?

That way, you use less nitrous per spray, you get the same chilling effects, AND you get 20 (or 35 or whatever) horses to the wheels.

why not run an intercooler sprayer? Using a setup similar to the sti, u can even put alcohol in there too.

That's what the Ntercooler is. It's a nitrous/c02 intercooler sprayer.

i guess it would work.. so u dont have to worry about spraying when u dont want it to spray.. and hands are free when racing.
pm me if you want it, will sell for cheap since i got it used also.

As long as it works. I really want it to be hands free.

NX switches dont work on some cars. I think the celica is one of the ones with which it doesn't work. Check if your car is a 12v tach system or 5volt.

Why don't you use a boost activated switch rather than a window switch. Using a window switch alone wouldn't make sense to me, you'd be spraying your IC with nitrous even when you're cruising around and not necessarily pushing it. You'd run your tank dry instantly. Or could you try using a combination off a boost activated and WOT switch so that you could make it only when for example your car is boosting 7+ psi and floored.

Just a thought.

it works if u hook a relay up to it.. cmiguel32 had it done like that in his GT.. i baught the switch off him and now i can't figure out how to wire it.. so i got my brother to get mallory switch for christmas.

and it only works if the arming switch is on, and after 3k rpm.. and shuts off at 6k rpm (u can buy pills for different rpms)..so u wont spray all the time.

the wide open throttle or boost switch is what you relly need . the new sti have a maual button for thier water sprayer it just cools it down between runs. hope your using co2 which is cheaper.water is even cheaper the latest issue of scc tell you how to build a water sprayer for like 30 bucks.
