stupid people

Well, my car was broken into this weekend. Window smashed, stereo gone, 250 cd's gone. So depending on how much I get from my insurance what is a good recommendation for a head unit? I was thinking Alpine, Pioneer....

Diamond makes CD players? Pioneer and Alpine are great decks, along with Panasonic higher models and Eclipse. Basically, look for a deck with at least 4-volt pre-out (RCA), and other features YOU want. Features like mp3 are nice to have. And depending on your tastes, a nice color display is cool. Just start window shopping.

I got an Alpine CDA 9825, just one problem, when i set the bass frequency, say to 80hz i cant turn it up too loud because my stock speakers start to distort. but if i turn it down, the signal to my woofer isnt as strong and the bass isnt there, any suggestions? maybe some bass blockers

Alpine has a midbass hole(meaning lack of midbass impact) as well as Kenwood. Pioneer has lots of sound tailoring you can do aswell as quality in performance but an Eclipse with pro-mode sounds the best I've heard.

I like Kenwood and Eclipse, but I am using a Pioneer right now to go with my Pioneer XM radio.

dude i learned my lesson the hard way about keeping CDs in my car.. when my civic got stolen i had over 100 store-bought cds in my car..

from now on, i usually only keep burned copies in my car.. or if i have store bought ones, i don't keep them all in my car, just a few at a time.
