Yeah it has a seperate brain that contains the g-meter. At first we just mounted the brain in behind the display unit vertically, but the vehicle dynamics wasnt working right. It has to remain flat to get accurate reading with the vehicle dynamics gauges, so we switched it and it works perfect. The install consisted of running the antenna for gps, running a speed wire to the gauge cluster, running a reverse gear wire and running the voice activation microphone. We installed the brain under the passenger seat and thats about all the install consisted of. It took me and our installer about a hour to do the whole thing. Then about another 30 mins to switch the brain from behind the display unit to under the seat. I highly recommend this piece, excellent value.

If any of you live around Sacramento , CA. , I have most of the Pioneer and Eclipse stuff on our displays at Auto Radio Stereo (916) 338 - 2500 .
Call us if you need info or wish to visit the store, ask for JD.

where was yours made in?

how do you like it? easy to use? do you have to swap the cd out a lot?

how much did you pay for it?

does your unit stick out of the dash a lot?

Its probably made where all the other pioneer stuff is made?
I love it, real easy to use, for the navigation it saves the information, so you can take out the nav disc and play dvds, and cds while navigation is on.

I paid 10% below cost.

And it goes perfect with the celicas dash, doesn't stick out alot.

In the cigarette lighter? Or right under the screen? If its the cigarette lighter that just a air freshner. If you mean right under the screen thats part of the headunit.

do you think its annoying when it ask you to insert the navi disc all the time?

and do you have a side shot of the unit? i kinda wanna know how much it sticks out.

where did you get your optional parts? i cant find it at all.

so you paid 10% less then 1699?

thanks!

It doesn't ask me to always insert the nav disc. As a matter of fact its never asked me to insert the nav disc. I ordered the optional voice activation when I ordered the unit, they arrived the same time. But anywhere that sells pioneer should be able to get the options. I paid 1960.00 CAN.
