Brake pad squeeling

Brakes make noise from vibrations that are on a frequency that we can hear. The idea on brake jobs is to change the frequency. To do this look at the parts you take off and put MOLY grease every where you see metal on metal wear (shinny), & on the back of the pads where the piston hits them, and on the shims. Also you can buy dampening material in parts stores. Just do not get any of the brake grease on the pads at all costs. Tech tip: put masking tape on the new pads so you don,t accidently touch them til your ready to install them. Hope this helps.

why is this important? Wouldn't any residue from your fingers just burn off the first time you use the brakes? Just curious...
