Loss of Power

Hi My gt4 is doind a very strange thing. Let me explain. I start accelerating and my aftermarket boost gauges starts kicking in and the car pulls pretty well, until it reaches between 2500 to 3200rpm and then basically just seems to lose power? The Bosst gauge sits on 0.5bar and stays ther. the car keeps reving but hardly pulls at all. (not really throwing you back in your seat). I have checked for boost leaks, flushed the fuel system, cleaned the fuel tank, put a custom induction kit, and put a freeflow exhaust and removed the CAT. Am getting a bit annoyed with the car as it had so much power but now and getting left in the dust by NA cars.???? Please if someone could let me know what they might think is the problem??? Thanks

clutch is probably slipping. you got an aftermarket clutch? does it do it in all gears, or maybe start to do it earlier in the higher gears?

well, if the car revs but isnt making more power, thats one sign the clutch is gone... ive never had a clutch go on me, but it would be like your tires spinning (car revs, not going faster)

easiest way to tell is to put it in 5th gear and lower rpms and mash the pedal to the ground. If it starts to rev but not pull, the clutch is gone... but thats already happened to you.

thats really the only thing i think it could be. If you are hitting full boost, there should be no reaon you shouldnt be making power (unless theres something horridly wrong with your engine, but you would know it if that were the case) Maybe some wild tuning problem, but again... i think you would know it if that were the case

5th gear might be too high, not enough to spool the turbo...however it does sound like a slipping clutch...now here is the bad news...changing the clutch in a GT4 is a major pain in the a$$....is it an ST185 or ST205? im sure both procedures are about the same...and in the GT4 you must pull the motor and tranny together to get them seperated...good luck
