Track times

Low 15's is pretty poor.

I went to the off street drags a few weeks back and a stock Corolla turbo was running mid 15's!

There were no new Celica's there but heaps of old ones (TA22, TA23 etc..) with all sorts of engines. There was a 3S-GTE, 4A-GZE and a guy with a 308 V8 running nitrous!! It was the strangest sounding Celica I had ever seen! Can't remember what sort of times they were running, none were overly impressive.

The most impressive performance was a stock looking Lancer GSR which ran 11.0. There was also a Pac Performance RX3 which ran 8.8, wheelstanding through 1st and 2nd gear - pretty amazing to watch.

There was also a Cressida Grande with a 1JZ-GTE 2.5 litre straight six twin turbo conversion. Very classy, can't remember it's times.

Cheers,
Matt

Track Times

I went to the Procar event at Oran Park last weekend.

There was only one Celica racing, last time I saw them there were 3.

The Celica had no problems staying in front of the only Integra Type R racing (gee that car sounds sick!) and was quicker than the New Beetle and the BMW.
