just so you know your headlights should shine more to the right than left, its so you can light up road signs.

hi to all experts here, i've got a few questions to ask.

does this adjustment thing affects only the left side headlights? meaning only 1 of the 2 headlights is being adjusted vertically. this is because my left and right lights are not aligned (one shoots further than the other).

next is, what is the tool that i need? i tried using a wrench (big or small) but i can't do it because the space available at that area is really small...

lastly, i do not have to plug out the battery connectors right?

Any replies would be appreciated greatly. thanks!

whichever knob the headlight is on is the headlight you are adjusting. Both headlights have knobs and you must adjust both.

hi, thanks so much..i got it already. Anyway in the end i used a flat tip screwdriver to turn the knob.

i also found out that the headlight alignment that was off was due to only the right side headlight, probably the bulb wasn't placed properly..

look at ur headlights... you will see a little silver wheel looking thing ( looks more like a sprocket). all it takes is to look at the headlights.. im pretty sure all are handtight.

ok so i'm also having a problem with my headlights. I just changed the bulbs the other day and i realized that night that the beams are practically pointing straight down. I can barely see the beams over the hood of my car when i'm driving. So I checked the site and followed the directions but i still can't get the angle to change. I spent a good half and hour turning both of the nobs with hardly any movement at all. Is it possible that I put the bulbs in wrong and they're pointing down? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

did you have to adjust your bulbs by adjusting the circle thing or just by repositioning your HID bulbs? Because i have the same color HID's ("8000k") as you and i can't see anything at night. I think it's either the bulbs are not installed right or the color of the bulbs are not that white enough because their too blueish. I tried moving the circle thing but it doesn't do anything. any suggestions? thanks

dunno if its too late or not... but there's two knobs you can turn... one turns them left/right.. and the other turns them up/down... the up/down one is the harder one to get to because its right between the fender and the headlight...

Hey I'm having a height problem with mine. And I couldn't figure out the diagram above which either means I'm a dumb engineer or just dumb... But, here is what I found couple weeks ago, haven't done it yet, too cold and can't find a flat surface and wall combo. I'll let ya know when I do...

maybe they're not aiming right is because of the new headlight pin that came in the headlights. i'm swapping the pins from the oem headlights tomorrow, because the new one were forced in and maybe that's why my right hid light points down.

that little wire needs to be at the bottom. your bulb is upside down if you are placing it in like that.

Okay, I have question. I pulled up to the garage door, popped the hood, turned on my lights and started turning. I probably turned the sprocket close to 5 times on the driver side and maybe 7 on the passenger side. There was absolutely NO movement on my lights. They practically shine straight down in front of my hood. I can barely see the road at night.

When I flipped my brights on, they showed the adjustment. The driver side was fairly high, and the passenger side was much higher. I turned them both down, but I still didnt see any noticable movement with the low beam....

Am I missing somthing? Or are the low beams non-adjustable?

I took the following pictures of the adjustment gears that I was turning. I could not for the life of myself find any others.

Passenger side...

That is the gear in the middle, partially covered. Driver Side

So I found the screws in the shop manual...but I cant find any others.

I need to adjust my lights too, but when I turn the adjustment wheel, nothing happens :S
I used a 8mm ratchet to turn them very quickly instead of the flat head screwdriver mentioned in the manual
I only need to adjust my right light, but I noticed that the plastic socket is missing on that side, could that be the thing why I can't adjust the height of the beam?

So what kind of screwdriver do I need to adjust them? Phillips or flat head?

My old halogens just had the gear by itself, however my OEM HIDs have a plastic thing around them which makes it impossible to turn by hand.
