Air Conditioning In Fl

My air conditioning takes forever to get cold in the blazing fl sun. Do any of you guys have that problem? I have an 01 celica and ended up buying the lower 02 grille. Maybe something hit my condenser before my grille insert? maybe i have a leak then? should i bring to toyota to test it or is this normal for the celi?

I just got my condenser replaced under warranty for some dents that rocks made to it. Ever since then, when I turn the A/C on, it gets cool after a minute.

do you have tint on your car? the tint actually cools the car down quicker when you do.

yeah i can't stand the hot days man. i have tint already, but i am so ready to get limo tint all around and would even like a light tint on the front windshield to help with all the damn heat. its horrible.

i have 15% tint all around and it still takes about 1-2 minutes to cool. i think it's normal. i'm planning to put tint on the front windshield to cool the car even more. then again, it probably doesn't help that my car's black so it attracts and retains hotter than lighter-colored vehicles.

well i got my car back. they say it's running normal temp, it ran 39 degrees F at the vents. oh well. i guess it's just the dang hot FL summers. And I have lived here 23 yrs. oh well, i'm just glad they didn't have to do anything to the engine.

My car is an 02 and it gets cold quick, but that may be because I hardly ever use the air conditioning. I'm a windows open kind of guy.

i'm so with you there! i barely use the AC, only if it's super dooper looper hot , i'm trying to carry conversation or if i just styled my hair before i'm about to get on the highway. wind-curly hair = messy hair other than that my girl is all open

same here, i rarely use the air, but when its raining, or its 90-100+ outside then the air is on, otherwise it steals power.
