Broken Tail light bolt...HELP

I bought Euro tail lights and when I was tightening one of the nuts, I tightened too much and the bolt broke off! Can I replace the bolt on the back of the tail light or did I just mess up a brand new tail light?

I did that on my TYC's when I first got my celi. If you can get out the broken stud then you can just use a standard screw for it. I actually had one TYC with two of its studs like this, I just worked at it until I got it loose then used a self tapping screw when I secured it again. Once the cover is on, nobody knows the difference.

okay so right now there is maybe half an inch of the bolt still attached to the back of the tail light. If I can get that remaining piece out of the light, I can use a regular screw to tighten it?

I have just done the same. How am I supossed to take it out? Am I taking out the smaller diameter screw or the larger diameter thing below the screw? Sorry, It's a bit mauled from various attempts with pliers. Thanks!

The same thing happened when I first got my corner lights, have you tried contacting the company? Some times they'll just send you a new one.

They are Tsunami Tail Lights. I doubt Toyota has them any more.
