You're installing the C-One set
and changing the final ratio from 4.5 to 4.8? Have you put these specs on paper? That is good small track gearing. Defintely not suitable for daily driving. Using a 225/40/17 tyre, to cruise at 55 mph, you'll need to be at 3,400 rpm in 6th gear. To cruise at 70 mph you'll need to be at 4,300 rpm in 6th gear. If it is a daily driver, I suggest you try driving your car (or another Celica, or any car for that matter), in a lower gear at 3,500 rpm for an extended time. You may find it isn't that appealing.
I think the C-One gearset on it's own would be sweet. It brings the gearing closer (which a final ratio change can't do), for faster acceleration, but you'd still need to be at 3,200 rpm in 6th to travel at 55mph, still not as bad as 3,400 rpm.
Did you ever try not using your 6th gear, and driving the car as if 5th where your last gear? That is an ideal test as the C-One 6th gear is the same ratio as the stock 5th.
One thing is for sure, it will sound sound sweet going through the gears that fast.
