NEED HELP ASAP (already searched)

Well i finally had enough money to get a new cd player, i worked on it all night trying to get it to work but i noticed that someone had spliced the stereo wiring harness and wired it back together so i investigated further and matched all the wires up right, and taped back together then finally got a wiring harness connector to connect to it for my cd player and plugged it all up now my cd player runs fine but no sound what so ever??? i have checked everything even fuses bc thats why my cd player didn't work the first try but it was a fuse then it cut on now i have no sound at all can someone please help me!!!!!

IS yours a GT or GT-S. There is 2 different harnesses. The GT has 2 and the GT-S has one. The GT-S as the factory amp wired in the smae plug so what has happend is without the right adapter you will not get any sound.

Ok so did it come with RCA wires as well? Also if the last owner chopped the plug its most likely he cut the factory amp wire as well. The amp is located on the passenger side behind the glovebox. You have to remove the box to get to the amp. Also the amp wireing is integrated into the plug if he cut it completly off the amp wireing may be in the center console area. itll be easier if you remove the center console to look for it.. I had the same issue. The last owner chopped the plug off and i had to get another one from a junked car and solder the wires all back togethor to get it to work. PITA but it works.

That would help. Did you check the speakers to see if he disconected them to run them off a different amp?

Ok for starters how did you put the wires back togethor?

In your first pic there is a wire bundle kinda in the midle that has blue green yellow and so on....those are the amp wires which gives the sound out the speakers. Now for your deck does it have pre-amp outlets or no? It needs to have 2 pre-amp outlets or you need to go to your local stereo shop and get 2 speaker wire to RCA converters. There about $15 a piece.

Next thing to do is see if the amp is turning on. When you turn the deck on youll need to test the power going to the amp. I believe its the red wire in the bundle i was refering to earlier. If your getting power to the amp youll need to see if you stilll have wires going to the speakers.

I just went to make sure of this but the red wire is the amp turn on wire. Another thing you can do is remove the passenger side kick panel and then look up. Right above the kick panel is the amp. The last guy may have pulled the plugs out. Why he would i dont know. But if your getting power to the red wire from the harness after you got it all back togethor that would be the next thing to check.

if you know how to solder and heat shrink tube that would be the ideal way to have a for sure connection.

Ok try this. Take the amp turn on wire (red) and tie it to the deck amp turn on wire i think itll be blue and see if that works. Instead of going through the plug tie it directly togethor. From the pics you took it looks like its all wired correcly. hard to tell though with the electrical tape lol

check your radio fuse and also the fuse in the car. You more or less blew your fuse. So if you got it to work that way just wire those 2 wires togethor put the fuse back in and you should be good to go. Its weird that it wouldnt work through the harness
