yeah im guessing its because my car wasnt fully warmed up. it usually reads around 12 but thats still a lil rich. i think its because of the t/b.

Sorry guys - I had to go out of town on zero notice for work.

I'm back in town now and hope to package and ship at least a couple of manifolds tonight.

Chris - videos sound great. Was the you driving? It defintely sounds like you've tightened up your shifts and are slipping the clutch a hell of a lot less - great improvement.

If you are using a 3" CAI what you need is a 4" to 3" reducing coupler. The OD on the Q45 TB is 90mm (4")

Boosted, I currently have a 3" to 2.75" and it fits the throttle body well. Where does the 4" come from? Did I buy the wrong year throttle body? Or is my AEM intake not going to fit the 2.75" opening?

I've fit a 3.5inch coupler on a q45 throttle body and it worked just fine. I would think a 3inch coupler would be very tight though and may not work.

Not saying it won't work, but if the OD is truly 90mm, you would probably want a 3.5" to 3" coupler. It would provide a nice snug fit. 4" is more like 101mm.

My best guess would be the friday after next. It all depends on how busy Murphy is this time of year.

3" fits INSIDE the TB 3.5" is fairly tight

we used a Spectre 4" to 3" and it worked well. 3.5" couplers are very snug, but thats probably better.

It's best to get that kind of information from him directly. Just putting in my 2cents.

sooo dave.. i got my car running and guess what? i cracked the housing on the tranny case the first day out.. lol
but the tranny will be out tonight..
but i was wondering.. would u and david be ok if i "barrow" the mock up manifold for a couple days to "play" with.
would be fun to beat some freinds and be like, "its a mock up manifold thats cut up and held together with masking tape"
if u still have the stock tb adapter im fine with just running my stock ported tb.
davids motor pulls alot better than i expected. it pulls alot harder right now than when he had pfc/ported header/exuast/ and injen cai.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
and chris, i like the new driver mod.

I think if anyone reputable wanting to sell their products should always provide a number, i'm talking about giving it to serious buyers who had made a deposit. honestly i dont want to give someone $1000+ and wait for an email or thread reply. this is all about being professional.

SO i dont think why anyone should be a DIIIICK about TSPORTPOWER asking for his info.
i mean what is there to hide.

THis is because i had a well known guy in the 240sx forum (reputable guy like DD) who flashed my ecu and it took me 2 weeks to reach him and get my ecu tuned properly. because it was only through email. i got the tune and was satisfied but not being able to reach someone is a headache.

Unfortunately you're dealing with the convergence of many unfortunate truths:

1. Most "reputable" people like Boosted2.0 are doing this as a side project in addition to a full-time job. This limits their time for idle chatter.

2. Most people who do this kind of stuff for a living are utter flakes.

3. A good percentage of the customers are not patient, or think that the person they're buying a part from is their personal consultant that they can bounce every new question they have off of.

None of these three things go together well. This can be extremely frustrating to a "regular" person who just wants to deal with a professional. But believe me, if Boosted gave out his number, for every one person with a legitimate request, he would have ten people hounding him on a daily basis for updates.

Thanks for the reply Boosted, I can't wait to see what rabbits you can pull out of your hat I don't know if you answered this already so I'm sorry if your repeating yourself, but, do you know what the weight savings vs. stock IM are? or do the weigh the same?

^^^ last i heard the DD manifold was heavier than stock.
also TSPORTPOWER you could of simple send Dave the deposit and wait for him to request for the rest of the money once he is done with the manifolds.
you could of found his paypal address in the first page here and on the first page of the 2nd gb.

thanks xlos! Good luck with your build! I'm hoping to be the first full tilt NA on the west coast so I'm real interested to see your #'s ... I can't wait to go for a ride after everything gets broken in, I bet the sound and experience is going to be unreal

This is the best solution. Dave will give you a balance once he's done and figures out how much international shipping will cost. The deposit ensures that your part will get made. I have 100% confidence that you didn't just send money into a black hole. I just received about $4000 in parts (no exaggeration) from Boosted on Friday. He had a turbo, a turbine housing from a different turbo, two exhaust manifolds and two downpipes of mine sitting around that were being coated. His packaging of everything was excellent to the point that I think it would have been a challenge for a shipper to damage anything. You're in very good hands.

probably because he has a full time job, just shoot him 1 pm with all the information you need, and when-ever he is free he will reply to your PM, i had a few questions about a build im planning to do, it took 3-4 days to reply, i'm not complaining, it is completely understandable.

TSPORTPOWER you are better off buying the Q45 TB on your own, try ebay.
they go for 100-150.
Dave said a while ago that he was getting the TB for about the same price as ebay.
again your better off getting it from ebay instead of Dave.

I encourage you to document your questions, wait for Dave, and discuss them all at once when you two are able to talk. He's a stand-up, quality guy and you're hearing that over and over. At this point, get your questions straight and wait to talk with him. You're just going to keep frustrating yourself and others if you keep asking/posting/pleading to talk with him. He WILL respond. He WILL answer all your questions. He WILL shoot straight with you, give you fair pricing, and get you everything you need 'til you're satisfied.

Good luck!

Update: DBW testing for teh GM TB is a bust. The problem is that GM uses a different strategy for their secondary TPS sensor than Toyota. Unfortunately those sensors are integral to the housing.

The good news is that we will now proceed with the Tundra TB which we KNOW works and idles, and can probably be overbored if desired.

In the process of doing all this we actually measured the throttle plates, and the Q45 PLATE is only 80.5 mm, NOT the 84 mm that the housing is at the back end. That means the difference is only about 2mm from Tundra to Q45 which is highly promising.

Sotty about beign MIA again. I spend the last 3 days in bed with a hella nasty flu of some kind and am just now back on my feet. In addition to that my work (my main / day job) is moving and one of the guys on my team is out for surgery so we've been working crazy hours keeping up with all that and our regular business.

Any leads on getting the Tundra 5.7 TB for cheap? Those things are crazy expensive! Any other possibilities besides the Tundra TB?
