I'm trying. there's not much paperwork on the way out here but there sure as hell is a ton of paperwork to leave. I think the texas national guard doesn't want us to leave, they're completely ate up.

it wouldnt be worth swapping out your current header unless you wanted to sell the dc for extra cash and even then youll still lose money from the deal. keep the dc since you have the 1zz. only swap if your getting a race header

thanks for the input. I definitely don't need the cash right now and I don't need a race header as my car is going to keep it's cali plates.

this is a good sign, the end of the iraq war is coming. I knew the government would try to figure out how to get all of our equipment out of the country. The problem is that most of the equipment that my unit had was TPE (theater provided equipment). Meaning that it was here already and it stays here when we leave for another unit to use. I'm thinking that we'll hand almost all humvees over to the iraqi army. Then when we're finally gone the government will realize that the MRAP's they spent so much money developing are no longer useful.

Abu Ghraib. What do you think of when you hear that name? I think the prison should just be demolished even though it has a new name. When those pictures of the soldiers humiliating detainees got out, it definitely solidified the insurgency against american forces. The actions of a few messed things up for everybody and gives people like me a bad name.

damn, those things are like $500 minimum. How much of a gain will it have over the dc sport header? I'd also have to fabricate a flange to bolt it up to my exhaust right? i guess I'd switch my plates to oklahoma plates if i went for a race header. it better be worth it, lol.

like i said its not worth the upgrade for a few extra hps which you wont een feel unless you went with a race header. ivve tested the stock vs dc vs hotshot vs ported header on my friends gt. all felt the same, above stock, until he got the race header, the butt dyno felt the difference.

alright guys, thanks for the input. That's a lot to pay for some headers but I'll trust you on this one 2nr. I'd get them ceramic coated black to stay low profile. I'm still paranoid of cops being from the car nazi state.

also, we shipped our gear back home today. The customs guy was awesome and let me keep my 7 inch Ka-bar knife.

Hey guys, I just ordered the LED dome light (white) from LEDmod.com. it's shipping out today. I think my dad's tired of accepting packages for me, lol. He threw all the ones he's gotten so far in my trunk. I kinda felt bad when I had ordered some rims and suspension parts before I took R&R. My dad's 60 and he had to haul all that stuff into his house with a bad back. The tokico springs + shocks/struts came in a 50 lb. box :\ . sorry dad, lol.

And too keep the OT thread goin, what kinda music does everyone listen to? Don't judge me but I'm pretty partial to that emo/screamo sh1t. I'm actually as far from an "emo" person as one could possibly get, I just like the music. I'd say my favorite band is Saosin. Anyone heard of them?

yeah that cop was really not that bright at all. Here in Atlanta that would have probably got you pulled out of the car and searched for lying. I would have probably done the same thing as you though just to see if I could get away with it.

well, the food's actually pretty good at other bases like camp anaconda and big bases like that. However, down here at camp adder it's always national cook like sh1t day. lol

ahh, that's cool. I might see you on AFN one day, lol. I'm artillery, not infantry. infantry is 11B. Artillery's not bad, It's just really labor intensive. I'm 145 lbs. and I probably shouldn't have picked a job where I sling 100 lb. shells around all the time, lol. I hold my own, though.

When you go to MEPS Don't sign your paperwork unless you get 25V guaranteed in writing. If that job's not available you can walk out and come back at a later date. Or at the least, ask what jobs you might be interested in have a cash bonus. You can rape the government. I got $19k cash for signing up plus the army college fund which pretty much doubles my GI bill.
