Ordering Carpet
after doing some research i found a website that sells auto carpet at a pretty decent price, 14.95 a yard to be exact!!! well, long story short i ordered 3 yards of it and i will let you guys know how it turns out. The carpet (called superflex carpet) is 100% Polypropylene Pile Carpet with no rubber backing but is supposed to be stronger than oem. (note it comes 80 inches wide)
btw, the website is yourautotrim.com
and after looking for a online coupon code i found one for 15% off
so with ground shipping the whole carpet will cost 52 bucks, better than toyota's price of 300+
there is a luxury style carpet available as well but i wanted something stock looking and will lay better.

maybe he's going to put his old carpet over the new 1 he ordered, and cut it from there to make it the same exact shape.

^ exact-0. also i heard that if you get a soldering iron you can clean up the edges by melting them so bolts or whatever wont be a problem later on. yes the plan is to trace the old carpet.

Wow - this is now a major project...good luck with that.
I considered every alternative when recently replacing my carpet, but finally decided that the value of my time dictated that I just buy OEM ($400) and have it installed professionally ($75). Voila!

Not sure how well it will conform to all the shapes. You will most likely have alot of wrinkles/folds unless you cut the carpet at every little corner.
