Was feeling a little nostaligic
Decided to look up some of the good times we had out running when I used to street race down south...was a lot of fun shutting people up that had a lot of money invested into their cars with two cars that had pennies in them. Not to mention the sandbagging, I'm going to miss it

Car barely pulls two cars on me (on barely over 20 psi lol). I had a good laugh that night. I would NEVER take on a full bolt on LS3 Vette, because they'd murder me, but the equally priced much slower GT500 is a playmate lmao http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5oWT...e=channel_page Stepintoliquid, low boost against another Sprayed (100+ shot) 05+ GT with the book thrown at it. I also raced that car and pulled him earlier (no vid) with basically NO TUNE on my car http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZlmk...e=channel_page My car against a real V8 car, I spin down low and he jumps out (street tires, anything below 60 mph will spin), I have more than him up top but not enough to reel him in. Heads, Cam, full bolt on, gears, DR's and weight reduction. MafiaMotorSports car I always think it's better to have something to show (car wise, on a car forum) rather than just talk about what you have that you've never shown

Oh nice... I get to race a guy from work in his 00 WS6 tonight in a real race (MEANING AT THE TRACK) and I get to see what a real V8 will do against my little 4.6...

i have even raced a 03 gt with ??? mods, from a 60 roll in my gt-s with just CAI and he pulled a half length at 120 shutdown.... haven't raced any 05 and up stang's yet...

All this Mustang talk on here must be making you butt-sore Mephiz. So much so that you had to revert to posting a bunch of non-related Mustang roll-racing kills* in a thread.
However, it reminds me of the first ever "race" i did in my GT well before it had ANY mods what-so-ever. Though the difference is, I don't mess with "roll" racing. ![]() Around here there are ALL KINDS of SRT-4s around. The particular one I was racing had all kinds of exterior modifications. Not sure about the interior, but from the sound of it, I was betting it was stock. (He later claims it had a few mods) I've seen him off and on around Grand Central ave for months revving all over the place, acting like he was trying out for F&F 4. Anyhow, we were at the stop light at the long stretch of straight road that people always race on, and he was talking all kinds of **** to his girl like "Watch me take this mustang.." His GF was all giggly and egging him on.. The red light hit, his front wheels spun and spun and spun. By then I was already 6 car lengths on my way. He caught up with me very quickly (heard the turbo), but never FULLY caught up. By the time I had hit over 90 almost 100 by the Hardees (This is a 6 lane road, 2am in the morning, the Hardees is the "known" 1/4 mark for anyone that knows about racing on that road), I was about 1 car length ahead. I slowed down because around the corner there is always cops hanging out there. He did a ricer drive-by and flashed his lights *rolleyes* and stops at the 7/11. I pull in and stop, and ask him if he had any upgrades, and he told me "enough". I told him it was the first time I ran/beat a SRT-4. He was all like "What the hell, I just pwnt you man.." I had to explain to him that at 98, I was already a car ahead of him, and the Hardees was the 1/4 mile mark. He got all "Fast and Furious" on me saying "There is no 1/4 mile on the street bro, this is the real life racing dog.." And I just laughed... His GF told him to get back in the car, she was bitching because I guess she spilled her drink? I asked him if he'd like to do it again, and he made some excuse about having to take his GF home to change her clothes. I asked him if he'd like to try after that... he just shakes his head, gets in his car, and leaves. Probably used to doing roll races on teh freeway. The ONLY mod I have is that free "remove rubber tubing on the intake" one. Nothing else. When I told him that he accused me of lying. The best part about it was, his girl was there to see him get pwned, and see him make lame-ass excuses. I feel kinda bad because his girl was with him. Probably the first time anyone beat him. I am not sure what mods he had because he took off before I could see. Now whenever I see him around town he goes out of his way to avoid me.Hell my GT is just a simply daily driver.. I told him I'd upgrade his suspension before doing any other mods. No sense in having a gob of HP when the car wont stick to the ground. FWD cars can be made to go fast... but they stink at digs. It's why most always want to run from a roll. Roll races never really impress me. If you can't race from a dig, you can't really race IMHO. That was my first, and only race with a SRT-4 on this car. I haven't had a Celica around hear even try yet. I never initiate these little things. But if someone is talking ****, I will give it my best, and hope I win. ![]() *I don't play those silly "roll" race games though. If someone wants to race, it's going to be a race. Roll racing pretty much takes the skill out of it, and really isn't much of a race. If you "beat" someone from a "roll" you really didn't beat anything. Now if you wanna talk from a dig, where skill and timing is needed, then you have me interested.
