My GT-S vs Mustangs

Big argument below just made me want to post up the video's i have of me racing some Mustangs. Only thing done to my car is AEM CAI, unbolted exhaust and Southbend TZ clutch and Fidanza flywheel.

Fuel Injected Foxbody with DRs.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9n3eqYqXJw0

00 GT with I/H/E and tune. 40 roll and dig race.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-L3sFckCLo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBmBJwqbDCM&NR=1

Stock 05 GT.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1AeJrWG3_A

Foxbody with Full Bolt Ons, Converted from Speed Density to Mass Air, Full Suspension and DRs.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOm0GeWYuvc&NR=1

Foxbody with I/H/E Converted from Fuel Injected to Carb.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIN8xF3rTnk
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zP_h7CW9Hyo

Kinda just felt like posting this one, against my buddy's stock SRT-4.

Actually yes, the V6 stang is just as slow as the Celica GT-S, both are 15 second cars stock for stock.

If the GT-S driver can't launch and/or land lift the Mustang will more often than not win from a dig. I have a friend with a 5-speed V6 in case you're wondering. Those things can hit 14s with almost nothing done.

The argument wasn't about Mustangs VS Celicas... Actually it wasn't about anything. It was a point in the making. Right now I guess they are arguing about Mustangs vs the F-bodies. Why it's being argued about in here is beyond me.

The Foxbodies in those vids remind me of the ones that drive around here. They could really make those cars fast, but obviously didn't. I am waiting for one to try to take my 2002 around here.

BTW the 95s weren't that fast either. Stock running in the high 14s.

The cars you listed are about equal to the car you own. Well cept for the 05, and that guy should get his GT taken away from him.

Good races *thumbs up*

I am not big on racing from rolls thought.. it seems that's all the FWD cars want to do. And when you deny them the request, they call you a chicken, etc, but they aren't chickens for not wanting to race from a dig somehow... weak.

Yes, it's a great idea to race during the daytime when there's tons more people that can get hurt.

i prefer to do dig races, the roll races were done by the mustang owners request. against the fox, after i whored him from a dig, he thought he could take me from a 10 roll, he was wrong. the 00 wanted to just do a pull to see how my car ran. from the dig against the 00, i out launched him but he came around me.

nice vid's.... he shows all...win's or losses... also very constant shifting and lading lift in all the vid's. a quick question, does it ever feel like the shift from first to second is ever hard or likes to grind sometimes???

mine never grinds, sometime it'll decide to not let me in second but i just got it figured out the right thing to do to make it go in with no problems. hard to explain.

and i have a lot of wins and a lot of losses, it's the way it works. someone is always faster.

anyone that wants to see my races, just search my username on youtube and it'll bring up many vids.

lol, yeah. i later raced him from a dig again once he put in a cam and got a set of drag radials. he had me by 2 cars when i shut down at 60(he got a much better launch), radar started going off so i shut down, cop came over the hill and pulled him over for 90 in a 55, lol. cop let him go though.

i didn't really see it as a race but he took the win, shook his hand when he returned back to where we were hanging out at and said, congrats, it only took you a cam and DRs to beat a stock celica, lol.

I dig a lot im my MKII GTI...I figure I can cut about 2.0 60fts on the street(most of the time), whereas w/ the same rubber I usually cut 1.9's(90%) at the track(some 1.8's)....and thats not w/ DR's or slicks...and on the street cutting 2.0's is usually enough to hole shot, or stick w/ decently the other guy...and I run RWD and AWD cars...but typically if I know it will be a fight like w/ a 106-110ish mph AWD car, ill try to get the dig run out till 120mph...

if you wernt so far I'd do a dig w/ ya...it would be a slaughter, but fun; and maybe chage you perspective a little...

Again, most FWD cars have problems from a dig. MOST. RWD is a better platform for such things.

Having said that, am I saying there is no FWD car that can launch from a dig? No...

I tell ya what though., Get ahold of me next spring and we can run it from a dig and you can "slaughter" me
