Need quick answer: Does the 2004 Celica use digital amp?

The 2003 Celica GTS JBL does not have a digital amp..correct?

What about the 2004 Celica GTS with JBL sound system?

I need quick response because I found two 6 disc changers (claiming model "86120-0C120" and "86120-42110" (also NEW) for a decent price.

Both look IDENTICAL. Both look like this:

Both have the 20 pin connector.

I believe they have a wrong price on one, and would rather grab the cheaper of the two, if it will work. I think I made a mistake and called the seller, and he's saying the one looks like it's priced wrong, so I want to grab it up before they can change it! Hense my rush.

THANK YOU!

My understanding is that Toyota went to digital amps between 2004-2006 (based on what model car)

I don't know the specifics, if the signal from the head unit to the amp is digital or if it's just a class D digital amp or something. All I know is that you can't mix and match, even though many radios (95% ?) share/ use the same 20 pin radio wiring.

But like I said, the seller realized his error, or just new I was interested in the radio and jacked the price up to $225 for either one. So I may as well buy the one that I know will work with the JBL system in my car, assuming I still want it from this guy. (his feedback is good, and the radio is NEW)

The newer Celica JBL amps may use DSP. But, the inputs are analog on both the pre and post '03 amps. Any '00-'05 HU should be able to drive either the pre or post '03 amps as plug & play.

The '03+ amps, though, are wired considerably different than the '00-'02. So, while the Premium Sound HUs are plug & play in any Model Year, the amps are not.

Note: the current Toyota JBL systems are digital input, not analog.

BTW, the 86120-42110 is probably out of a RAV4 & should fit. The 86120-0C120 is probably out of a 4Runner or Sequoia and I don't think it fits a Celica opening.
