Dyno Results
Had my tune last week on a power fc, hit a peak of 124.4kw (167hp) so a pretty meagre gain over stock ecu. Mid gains however were up to 10kw (13.5hp) in some areas, mainly from 4500-6500 due to my stage 2 cams.
Relevant Modlist:
Injen CAI
Custom Catback with Magnaflow hiflow cat
PPE Header
MWR Stage 2 Cams
Lightweight flywheel
Before you all freak out and start ranting about the result, keep in mind that your dynos in the U.S. read quite a bit more higher than the ones in Aus. I imagine i'd be around the 180hp mark if i were over there. Lift is set to 6700 now due to the amount of power i was making on the low cam - limiter set to 8750. My butt dyno is telling me the mid range is beyond any doubt a fcukload better, i was in third and thought i was in second because of the pull! Up top the gains feel bigger than what they are, probably because of the raised limiter more than anything though. It's funny because i partly wanted the limiter raised to land lift but since my lift is 6700 now i still have to work to land it haha...BUT it doesn't matter where i land as long as it's above 5500, still pulls as hard as if i'd landed it back on stock...that's how much the first cam has opened up =)
So take a lot at the graphs and everything i've told you guys, i'm new to ecu tuning so i want to hear opinions and feedback as to whether they did the best thing as far as my mods go.
Cheers!
Comparison before and after

Congrats on the the new tune bud!
Taking into consideration per your statement regarding Aussie dynos reading lower and your guestimate for what it would be on a US Dyno, still seems pretty low for the mods you currently have... I am interested to see what others think though. I could be wrong.

Dyno dynamics units are funny. We actually have them here as well. There is one here in Houston that reads VERY low - stock 02 GTS dynoed like 143 on it. Then there are some that read preposterously high.
Frankly I don't trust them very much for absolute numbers. The main thing is that hopefully they are repeatable unto themselves.
Having said that, I would still have expected more out of the tune personally assuming those graphs are before and after?

I was a bit iffed about the lack of top end gains, despite the stage 2 cams i still thought there'd be a bit more up top, especially with lift. Given that lift kicks in at 6700 now, as you can see there is no difference between stock. Is this to do with the compression?

Our UK Dyno Dynamics tend to show around 155whp for a stock 2zzge Celica. I'd personally say that graph represents a fair increase for the dosh and mods in the car.

In a way yes. You are going to need higher compression pistons to take advantage of the extra duration the cams have over stock.

Here are my results on dyno dynamics as well:
Mods:
- AEM CAI
- Denso Iridium IK20 spark plugs
- Full 2.5" exhaust (Hi flow cat, straight through Magnaflow resonator and straight through Magnaflow Muffler)
- ES Engine mounts

I was kinda disappointed with my peak HP reading as well

To the OP, did your dyno operator calibrate your motor according to the rev counter on the dash, or the power fc figures from the engine? My guess is that the calibration is off, hence why the power is so far shifted to the right (your peak power at 8k is quite unrealistic). Tyre size on these dyno's is also something important to factor in.
However, don't be disheartened by your results (OP and the guy above me), these dyno's read low and tbh Blacktsport was right in that generally a stock gts gets around 155 on these dyno's, so your power seems about right to me. FWIW my car made 213 on these dyno's (fullly built though) but a friend of mine made 166 on a stock corolla. It's all relative - get a stock 2zz to dyno there and you might feel better about the result
If you want to maximise your current set up, look into tweaking little things, like trying trying a new maf and trying a set of ngk copper plugs. Here's one which you might call me crazy on...unbolt your ppe header and remove the gasket. Have a look for any black patches...if you see anything more than a 'ring' then the alignment is probably off and you'll be losing lots of power there. Ask me how i know
Looks like a good tune though

Fixed. The only time you can use "same dyno" is when it's actually the same dyno at a given shop with no calibration modifications and same correction factors. Boosted addressed this already earlier. A Dyno Dynamics in Australia won't read the same as one in the UK.
