X2...
I was actually talking to Sean about Cedar Point. The only bad thing about that is the fact that we have to wait an hour in line to ride something. Cedar Point is a possibility, but is there anywhere else we could go with stuff to do?

When I went the longest we waited was an hour. The most popular one we got on in 20 minutes.

There's plenty to do in Indy. You just have to know people.

Sounds like it would be a blast.
And like we had talked about before, wherever we go, we will have to put money down for a hotel in advance. The only reason I would have us do that is to ensure that people don't drop out last minute.

That would be nice, and if we book in advance we can ask for a discount. Also, we would probably get another discount for getting a block of rooms.

I bet we can get at least ten Celica's to go, that would be nice. Like I said, once we get a spot chose, we can have a date that people HAVE to pay by. That way, people can't back out last minute and we can have a good turn out.
So guys!
What do you think about Cedar Point? It would be a blast and would make for a good weekend. What about a date here guys? I'm thinking early August or sometime IN August.

That's up to you guys... Nothing is set in stone yet. I live 1.5 miles away from a really nice beach.
We could have an all day thing, but for some people, they want to make it a weekend thing. The only bad thing about here is that there is nothing really fun to do.

See the best team in baseball? The city's packed with things to do and see. And much easier to get around in than Chicago. Or Indy's the other direction. I don't know, I guess, what "Midwest" entails.

Bring it up to Michigan. The best time to do it would be around the Woodward Dream Cruise (mid August). Talk about a great place to meet. This is the worlds largest car cruise. Plus it goes all weekend. Just a thought

Baseball sucks...
Yeah, I think St. Louis would be more fun than Indy, there's NOTHING to do in Indy.

Yeah? I've only been up to Michigan a few times. Wonder how we should figure out where to go, maybe a vote? I'll try to organize this one a little better than the past. This one will be easier because we will have to put money down for the hotel.

It IS the motorcity and there's plenty of parks with beaches that have large parking lots where we've had barbeques for meets in the past. Just a thought. Anyways, one vote for Michigan for me...

Well....I vote Ohio. I love rollercoasters and it was so much fun. Illinois sucks, Indiana wasn't really all that great... Michigan I'd go but I'd take the ferry.

Yeah? Well that sounds like a good idea as well... We just need to start throwing ideas like this around and have MOST of us agree on something.

Yeah, I'm thinking that it's basically either Ohio or Michigan...
Official Vote!
The Dells is pretty much out of the question, we just went there, we need something different. So far I think the two main places would be Cedar Point in Ohio or that car festival in Michigan.
-Ohio- Cedar Point (one of the best theme parks in the world), cook-out.

Exactly what I said!!!!
Narly, how about you check out www.indyrpm.com and check out their facebook page as well. I am very close friends with the man who runs this organization. There are definitely things to do in Indy.

I agree with Jacob, yes man I know it's you, doubt that you remember me but whatever, Indy has a lot to offer, I would also be down for Ohio, I guess the big thing is any of us having to make a few hour drive don't want it to end up being like five people, that's what i was always most weary of when going to any meet, local or hours away. On another note, does it really matter who I am? I'm a guy with a turdbox celica that I love, and want to meet more people that love this car the way that I do. Did not know that I had to give my life story before chiming in on a PUBLIC forum.

I was just playin' around. I've just never seen you on the forums, and you randomly posted in this thread... The more Celica's the better...

Yeah, I'm a new celica owner, been using the trial by fire learning method when it comes to my celi, I've actually got a handful of celicas in the indianapolis area that are trying to get a local club started, met the girl that's trying to make it happen driving down the road in downtown Indy, but that's a long complicated story, I'll get with her and see how many we can get out there

That would be awesome! Try to get as many Celica's as possible. I even talk to random people if I find one, and hope they even know what kind of car they own.
