thinking about getting the fender flares for my celi. yes or no?
i have a fist sized dent on my quarter panel (right above the wheel). i dont want to get it fixed. the only prob is will the fender flares flow nicely with my kam kit? does anybody have a pic of a silver celica with full kam kit and fender flares?

For any fender flares to look good, you need to get them molded in. Also, you may want to look at wider rims, since your current ones will look like they're hiding under the flares.

I agree, to get fender flares and make them look good(molded, painted, and wider rims) it's going to be ALOT more than $300. I would just get the dent fixed.

I love the fender flares, but you must get the dent fixed anyway. If you put a BandAide over Herpes, you still have Herpes, you just can't see the sores.

Yep. Dont do the flares unless you are prepared to drop the cash to have them molded in. They look so lame when they are just bolted on. Besides, the entire purpose of flares is so you can run much wider tires than normal...if you just run 17x7's or 18x8's, you're going to get clowned because they wont fill out the gap.

i was thinking of getting the fender flares too! and i plan on using some spacers to push my wheels out i think that will look good! i have 18x8"wheels w/35mm offset plus maybe 25mm spacer= problem solved

Don't use wheel spacers! They will throw your suspension geometry off. Suspension dimensions are precisely calculated to work together, and extending how far the wheel hubs stick out will mess this up, hurting your overall handling.

I gotta agree, looks like total crap unless you mould it and get wide tires. Wheel spacers are RICE..do it right and get wider rims for God sake

won't wider rims also mess up your handling?

I might try to do it in a few months when i get all my resources. Im going to get the flares and have it molded, will be using the apr gt300 as a concept. Also am looking for a better deal on wider wheels.

Not only will this not work with the stock lugs, but you are putting serious strain on the lugs. The longer lugs you put in there, the less stiffness they have. Get them long enough and they could snap real good while you're driving. Then not only will you have lame Pep Boys-style tacked on fender flares, you will also have a seriously messed up car. Do it right or don't do it at all.

molded or not molded...it's looks good either way. In Japan, all they do is bolt it on...they don't mold it. I will be getting my flares done too from mike at BRS once i get the KIT i want. It's basically up to the person's taste. Who cares what people think....don't let them control you.
