400hp formula

I read an article of a guy that got 400hp from his honda 1.6 liter engine so i thought hey if a 1.6 liter engine could do this why cant a 1.8 liter celica GTS engine right. I read what he had on it and basically it was low compression pistons down to 9:5.1 some new connecting rods, a turbo, a a custom turbo manifold by DC sports, a billet crank *custom made of course* new fuel system as well as some other non engine stuff to handle the power like a fuel computer etc. It was on the issue of Turbo magazine where they fetured the lexus IS for the first time

so it can be a reality all you need is to lower compression new rods a new crank maybe and your set right?

what do you guys think of this?

also i know for sure you can add a 3SGTE engine to the celica one guy did it to his older celica *a 1993 i saw it on the ALL TRAC site* so thats another plus.

World Racing did even better. They got over 800 hp out of a 1.6 liter Civic bottom end that they bought from Lisa Kubo and her husband. I'm sure if someone wanted 400 hp out of their 1.8 liter Celica engine, it would definitely be doable.

You'd need to do A LOT of engine bay work to swap in a 3sgte.
