Did any of you enter that show. Im not close to any one on this forum, so I have no idea what celicas you drive. However, I seen two celicas, and it would be nice to match a car to a person.
Being thats the case, can you guys list some info about your ride
White 2000 Celica GTS
TCS kit
C/F hood (gun-metalish)
18x8 ADR Kasai (black)
Eibach Prokit
Thermal Exhaust
shaved wing, rear wiper, "celica", molded hatch
*edit* 2003 tail light conversion
Exterior description is fine, cause thats all Im gonna see.
I was gonna sell my ride a while back, but had to do some stuff first, will be for sell soon. Thanks.

Silver GT-S. C-ONE (lip) kit, Cusco T2 wing, JDM tinted headlights and bumper lenses, '03 tails. Tanabe PRO SS coilovers, Espelir JGT500 exhaust. Volk LE37-Ts... and some other stuff.
I didn't go to the show either... kinda betted on it being a waste of time and money. From what I heard, it was. Apparently they were pretty much giving booths away trying to get cars to enter.
I'm glad I worked that night.
I like the TCS kit btw... how long have you had it? I saw a car that matches your description several months ago parked upstairs in front of Barnes and Noble at Kahala Mall. I just saw a custom gunmetal(ish) Celica with a TCS kit and slammed on 18-19" RH EVO C5's. That car was pretty nice looking.
Glad to see you in the Hawaii forum.

Ive had my car like this about a month. Before I had a buddy club kit. Its nice to see a few of you responded. Keep it up.
As for the show, it was ****ty. But i took my son to see 2fast on friday and he kept asking to go to the show after that. Oh well, at least I got some bonding time.
Also, I was thinking of powdercoating my rims. Usually I dont ask for suggestions, cause I think I got some sorta style. But I cant choose between doing em again in white or gold. I think white is clean, but I seen a white STI with the gold rims.. it was dope. Decisions, desicions..

I think there is still time to order them if you want....not sure if the order went through yet. I know there is a waiting period of two weeks or so.

I know two places that powdercoat. The place you said and sunset powder coating. Cost varies due to rim material, color, type of coating now (removal cost), two tone (black with polish lip), and size. But to give you an idea, it costs about 3-4 for 18's in one solid color.
As for the movie, it was better than the first in story, racing scenes (not really a drag race anymore), rice went down so thats a plus!

I found one for $80 (not the Greddy one) but I'm having trouble giving them the cash.
Yep, I also say Delo today @ school as I hurried home to sleep. Man I hate 7:30am classes. If any of yolu see me early @ UH I'm usually a zombie that thinks two things, eat/sleep since I barely have anytime to eat. I got home today and slept till about 2pm! Woohoo!

i think white on white is nice but a little risky if the two whites are mismatched....i should know, my kit doesn't match up to the color of the car....brand spanking new white rims will definitely stand out as far as the brightness of the white, if you know what i mean

I don't mind if it's Greddy or not but I know it's a real tight fight under there. Another member had to grind/file down his for it to fit. I know this baby here will fit:
http://www.cantonracingproducts.com/..._sandwich.html
But $80 is a bit steep. How did the Greddy piece fit? Where'd you find it?

The fit is tight too... but it should be perfectly alright if you're not gonna use any or both of the other fittings to run temp/pressure sensors. I had to snug that last fitting close to the block to use the fittings to tap my two sensors, so if I ever want to run an oil cooler using that last one, I'll prolly have a really, if not impossible time. For just the oil cooler tho, and maybe one sensor, you can prolly mount it with enough angle to allow clearance for both the oil line and the sensor.
I got mine from http://www.nipponracing.com -- I just checked, but the site is down right now. You can try contacting the person I dealt with, Trygge Toven at sales@nipponracing.com and see if he can help you out even if the site is down. They took 2 days to get the adapter in, and another couple days to ship it to me. I recommend them.
I've also found that adapter at good prices (in the $60ish range) at other sites tho... altho some others have lofty pricing in the $100 range.
So far so good! The piece looks nice and I don't have any leaks.

Can't see a way to go wrong with gold. It seems to match almost any color car, and it's prolly easier to keep clean. Are you going for a dark gold or a bright gold? Something more along the lines of the color of the STi rims, or something like the gold Volk uses on the GT-Ns?

powder coating varies depending on what they gotta do and size. But to give you an idea, 18s in one color runs from 3-4 bills.

I was just looking at a black STi at Hypers today with the gold BBS rims. They certainly are the dope shyt! I give that shade a thumbs up. Hell... looking at that car almost made me go down to Subaru to check 'em out.
I think I'd better stay the f*ck away from Subaru dealerships from now on. I might just get stupid enough and buy one.
I'd rather have that shade than the gold used on the GT-Ns.

Thanks Clint, I'll check it out later since I'm feeling pretty sick right now. I think I caught a cold from my friend But I don't really need any ports for my gauges since I'll just tee off from my oil feed lines. What size are the ports? I'm looking for something around 14mm or -8AN.

QWK.. yeah, I was leaning towards the STi shade. It was perfect cause I seen a white one with em and that pretty much solidfied my decision. It was the first thing to catch my eye... I think my decision is set. Thanks guys.
