Installation Of APC Carbon Fiber Tailights By Marc Michaud

PLEASE NOTE: These pictures are taken after I actually performed the install. I am not responsible if you mess up.

Parts Needed

10MM Socket 10MM Wrench Masking Tape Needle Nose Pliers Scissors A Stool helps too

Before you start you should know that you will cut some of the plastic in the trunk.

Installation

1) Open your trunk and take off the plastic covers that hide the back of your taillights.

2) Disconnect All the Bulbs ( Do not touch the actual bulb & remember which bulbs are for what) Place them aside so they do not get in your way.

3) The Tailights are held on my 3 10mm bolts. One isn't visable So please look at this picture CloneGTS Took it shows the locations of the bolts.

4) Start on the left one first. After you remove your stock tailight. Take the CF Tailight and place the bulbs inside them. Make sure they are secure. Place the CF Tailight in place & you will notice that the bulb locations are moved and the plastic gets in the way. You will have to cut some of the plastic off so it will fit. Take your time and cut because i rushed and its not straight edged. Make sure you cut enough of the plastic off so its not in the way. After thats all done hand tighten the bolts and make sure all the lights work. Tightened the tailights so moisture cant get in there.

5) Remove the right taillight the same way as the left one. Put the bulbs in and verify where you have to cut the plastic. Cut the plastic and try to place the tailight in. You will notice that it doesnt fit properly. I took it out and notice that the upper right hole isnt big enough. I just took needle nose pliers and stuck them in the hole and twisted. This will widen the hole enough for the tailight to fit better. You could also use a drill but i didnt have one. Tighten the bolts and check that all the lights work.

6) I notice that the lights had somes gaps where water could get in. I used some duct tape and taped around the inside of headlight. No moisture has gotten in but i would put the tape to make sure.

7) You cant place the plastic covers back on. But its worth it because they look nice. Well, your done check it out. If you have questions please email at MisterX225@aol.com i will be more than happy to your questions.
