TRD Exhaust Install for 2000+ Celica GT-S 6-Speed by Dave Mayer

Since not many people seem to have actual installation pictures of Exhausts I figured I would post some.

I would highly suggest using ramps to get the back end of your car up, but if that is not available a jack and jack stands <

First thing to do is to remove the two bolts holding the existing muffler to the front pipe. (Circled in red). *NOTE* These bolts are EXTREMELY tight. I ended up using a impact drill to loosen mine. Again, if that isn’t available…I don’t know what to tell you

The bolts have springs on them and look like this…

Once those two bolts are off, get the exhaust off of the hangers. I would suggest putting some sort of lubricant or WD-40 or something on them to help squeeze the hangers out of the rubber stoppers (they are a pain to get out dry).

Once all that is done it should look like this…

I would HIGHLY recommend starting your car at this point. J It gets REALLY loud!

Now comes the fun part.

Hang the new muffler on the existing hangers and then bolt the flanges together. You are going to have to use the stock bolts and springs plus the washers and nuts provided with the exhaust kit.

Ok….so now all you have to do is attach the tip. Make sure to use the gasket and bolts, nuts and washers provided with the kit. Simple enough.

Congratulations! You now have a TRD exhaust installed on your car.
