2011 Audi RS5 vs. 2010 BMW M3, 2011 Cadillac CTS-V - Comparison Tests
Achtung Heroes: To get the very most out of three scorching coupes, we find it necessary to cross the border.

Third place: 2011 Audi RS5

Highs: A V-8 worthy of (and actually in) a supercar, best dual-clutch tranny yet, a true beauty.

Lows: Video-game steering, seems to have been cheating on its diet, lacking in fun.

The Verdict: Attractive and powerful, but a bit too front-wheel-drive-like and detached to win.

Second place: 2011 Cadillac CTS-V

Highs: Animated steering, brake pedal, and chassis; ZR1-grade power; steady at 179; wreathed and creased sheetmetal.

Lows: Muted V-8, church pews by Recaro, a few lame reminders that GM runs Cadillac, 4260-pound mass and a big ass.

The Verdict: Never a dull moment.

First place: 2010 BMW M3

Highs: Engine so good it may trigger angina, light and lovely handling, dark and lovely interior, sharkskin paint job.

Lows: Steering not quite as good as the Caddy

Girlfriend has a brand new 335si. I will say, it is an amazingly built car. Through and through, has all aspects of a car that is fun, minus it is a automatic. I've used the manual mode (DSM I think?) and it is still fun. Car can really purr once you get on it.
