hey guyss! i'm new heree and new to the celica world! My car is all stock atm but i'm about to get some rims and get it lowered. I'm just super indecisive and a girly girl so I don't know much, but I'm learning! Right now i'm trying to figure out what's the widest rim and best offset that I could put on my car without having to roll the fenders. I like that flush look. So any input would be awesome! Thankssssss

I'm debating between these wheels:

STR 18x8 with 35 offset. i would prob do 225/40/18 tires and possibly spacers

Privat Wheels 18x8.5 with 38 offset with 235 or 225/40/18 and maybe spacers

XXR black chrome 17x8.25 35 offset 225/40/17 tires and maybe spacers

BBS 17x9 ( i dont know if they would rub in the front or not) with 22 offset. deff 235/40/17 tires and i prob wont need spacers with these.

i like them all lol i just can't decide. I want them to stick out as much with out having the fenders rolled or anything too technical like that lol so what do you think?

I'll let the other members chime in but I got 18x 7.5 +45 and my wheels are super sunk in the rear, slightly on the front, if i get spacers of about 15mm in the rear and 10mm on the front I should be about flush and with my current TRD 1.5" drop they should not really rub.

It all depends on how much you are going to drop your car.

i just learned about the different offsets and widths and stuff. I haven't looked up much about drops yet.. i want it low but not too low. what is the average drop? i like the drop of yours and will like the wheels once you get the spacers.
but i dont think i'm gonna go with the BBS bc they are 9inch wide and I think that's too much. it's so hard to imagine what the stuff looks like! lol and i like the XXR bc the black chrome looks nice but idk how i feel about it on a black car.. uhg the possibilities are endless!

It depends on what drop you're looking for. Would you rather be able to change your drop when you want or keep it always the same? You can go with coilovers to change your drop when you want or with springs to keep the height always the same. I guess an average drop is around 1.5 all around. However, I don't see that being really agressive or noticeable, but hey that is just me. I'm dropped 2.5inch all around.

The meet they are talking about is on Sunday June 16 in west palm beach by the way and welcome to the forum.

i think i want a 2 inch drop. i decided on the 17x8.25 XXR black chromium wheels. I found some that have a 25 offset and i'm gonna do 225/45/17 tires... do you think it will rub the fenders at all or will i be good both before and after the drop?

ohh and i'm gonna get pink lug nuts

Nope you won't rub at all. I'm running 18x8 with a 35 offset on 225/40 and I rub sometimes if not at all on a 2.5 inch drop. Pink lugs?? Lol you're a girl so I guess that works

If you really want to know what will fit without a roll, post in this thread..

https://newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=257723

Greatest thread we have on this forum..

Also, I'm on 17x8 +35 with 225/45/17 and I don't rub at all and I'm dropped about 1.75-2in all around

Not yet. Next week. I have the KSport with front and rear Tanabe sway bars waiting to go on. I just need to get new axles for both sides and inner and outter front tie rods for both sides. Then do everything all at once.

I know they're not that easy to change but they can be done. I can't wait to drive it with the sway bars and coils. I'll let you know the exact amount of work and time it will take when I get to it.

hey guyss! i'm new heree and new to the celica world! Thankssssss
got my wheels!

someone said if i get coil overs i have to get shocks too bc the stock shocks will be too tall and doesnt allow enough pressure or something? i have no idea lol

Look at my reader's ride, if you like the drop i gave it like i said i will be selling the springs and i can give ya a good deal. You should be able to drop them on your stock shocks seeing that you only have 70k. But mines had 170k when i put them on and they blew but again i had way over double than you.

https://newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=348857

Coilovers will replace your struts and spring combo and will give you the most low but they are more expensive. I'll let some of the more experienced people chime in but i was happy with my TRD/KYB combo but im going one inch lower with tanabes. If youre interested let me know but trust me at the price i can sell them to you, it will be way less than half of what they are worth new.

Just do some research, get some tools and give it a go! I had zero knowledge of cars before this car and it has been quite the learning experience, if you love doing it you'll learn, if you dont then youll probably pay someone xD I only pay when i know i cant do it for suree or when the price is too high for something so small.

Good luck with the racelands i was gonna pull the trigger on those but i went with tanabe springs.

In my opinon, do not get racelands, one area you dont want to go cheap in is suspension, you can get a decent kyb shocks plus whatever springs you want for around the same price
