Noob coilover question(s)

Hey guys:

I recently bought a front set of GAB coilovers for my Celica GT (converted to 2zz). I have had a few issues fitting them: 1) the link is about an inch too long to hook up, do I need an adjustable link? 2) when the coilover is mounted is reaches almost all the way to the ball joint (currently the wheel bearing assembly is out for repair).

It seems these need some adjustment but I cant tell. The adjustment "nuts" are about 1" from the bottom of the threads. Any help would be appreciated! Remember, I bought these used so I would need to purchase any hardware I am missing that isn't just the coilover.

The reviews on other forums for them were good but I dont believe I found a review on this site for them so I decided to go ahead and buy them.
