I have a new turbo (hta3582) to try and I added some other goodies so I will be posting a dyno sheet soon with the updated setup. I went back to the dyno on e85 but made around the same power level with less boost (22psi) but with more torque...over 320 compared to 290 something last time. Sorry if I posted the wrong place I am just excited...

Which MAX. EGT do the other stock 1zz Turbo guys drive?
With 228 PS @ at the dyno we had around 950-970C EGT under full throttle. Thats definitly too much for longer periods.
How did they manage that?

First we had 228 HP/246 Nm/181 ft lb/ 170 WHP @ 9 Psi but EGT to high in my opinion.

I don`t know how the other 1zz stock Turbo guys made their tuning but with 9 psi boost we got EGT temps of 950-970 C with optimal tuning and that`s freaking high for full throttle driving over long periods.

Most important thing is the torque curve and my LSD.

The throttle response is amazing.

This is the "real" EGT measured 3 cm behind the outlet of the 3rd cylinder in the exhaust header.
Maybe it would get a little better with a PPE or Hot Shot header but as long as I have no probs with the oil temps it`s fine.

No one really tunes by EGT anymore anyway. Wideband O2 and knock sensor is the way to go.

I know that really well. The EGT is only a part of the whole tuning process.

I drive on the save side with my setup and the engine is tuned well for safe driving on the track and in every situation.
