The first set of brochure scans comes from a Brazilian blog called Noticias Automotivas, which says it got them from a Japanese magazine. We dug a bit further and found a second group of photos, allegedly showing the kitted-out, JDM Modelista variant of the Auris.
We cannot say for sure if these scans are the real deal, but it wouldn't be a first for Toyota as we have seen many of its models being revealed through leaked brochures in the past.

These are the exclusive first pictures of the all-new Toyota Auris. The new British-built hatchback, including its hybrid variant, was caught taking part in a marketing shoot in the Netherlands.
Toyota boss Akio Toyoda has long spoken of his desire for the world’s largest manufacturer to build cars with more character, and the designers of the new Auris have certainly created a car with more visual presence than its predecessor.
The new front end is most striking. Recent designs signed off under Toyoda, who took the reins at Toyota 2009, have all shared more angular bumpers, prominent grilles and sleek, technical headlights, and the new Auris is no exception.
The front end of the standard car is not visible in the pictures, but the next-gen Auris Hybrid reveals the direction the standard car will take. There’s a lower trapezoidal grille and a chrome-trimmed single-bar grille running into the slim headlights. Foglights flank each side of the front bumper and are housed in angular mounts.
Toyota’s hybrid models have traditionally been more visually striking than the standard cars on which they are based. This was seen most recently with the Yaris, which was criticised for its dowdy looks in base form but praised for its greater flair as a hybrid. It’s unlikely that Toyota will make the same mistake with the Auris.
The new Auris features a sharply raked windscreen, rising shoulder lines and kinked C-pillars. At the rear, the lights stand proud of the tailgate, which has a strongly defined boot release handle. The angular rear bumper is also very pronounced.
Toyoda’s ‘more characterful’ brief extends to the driving dynamics. To that end, the new Auris has been undergoing extensive testing on British roads to raise its dynamic flair.
As for engines, great emphasis will be placed on the hybrid model. Toyota reduced the weight and size but improved the efficiency of its hybrid system for the Yaris, and the lessons from that car will be applied to the new Auris Hybrid.
Updated versions of today’s 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre petrol engines are likely to be carried over for the launch. But the big news will be the arrival of new BMW diesel engines of 1.6 and 2.0 litres around a year after the Auris’s early 2013 launch.
Toyota’s Burnaston plant will continue to build the Auris in its next generation. An estate is also planned for launch.

Toyota will unveil the new Auris at the Paris motor show in September, a car that will deliver improved dynamics, more distinctive styling and higher equipment levels, while also being cheaper to run.
New Auris is the latest model to reflect Toyota's determination to engineer cars that are more appealing and dynamically engaging to drive, while building on its long-established reputation for quality, durability and reliability.
As well as presenting a more confident exterior design and a higher quality interior, new Auris also benefits from improvements to driving dynamics and efficiency enhancements to its powertrain line-up, including the full hybrid system that powers the flagship Auris Hybrid model.
The car's exterior and interior are all new, and it has the distinction of sitting lower than any other mainstream C-segment model. The overall height is 55mm less than the current model and a lower front end design helps deliver excellent aerodynamic performance with a Cd0.28 drag coefficient, supporting better handling stability and lower fuel consumption.
New Auris adopts the new "face" of Toyota in the design of its grille and the sharp-edged appearance of its headlights and LED daytime running lights, giving the car a more powerful road presence.
In profile there is another dramatic styling change with the extension of the side glazing into three panels. The effect will be rendered even more eye-catching in some versions with a piano black finish for the B-pillars and a dynamic treatment of the C-pillars above a stronger and more pronounced chrome-trimmed rising belt line.
At the rear new Auris has a wider opening tailgate, with an interplay of convex and concave surfaces, a wrap-around combination lamp design and new bumper profile, strengthening the car's broad stance.
The new interior is more spacious and comfortable, and introduces Skyview, one of the largest panoramic roofs in the segment. Toyota has paid special attention to the sensory quality of the cabin and worked in detail to achieve a greater sense of visual unity through consistency of lighting, colours, finishes, and even the font used for the graphics.
The air vent and meter surrounds, centre console and transmission tunnel trim share a high quality satin silver finish, and on higher grades the dashboard itself is leather trimmed. The tactile quality of the interior surfaces has been improved, with baseball-stitched nappa leather used to trim the steering wheel, and soft touch materials featured on the instrument panel's upper surface. The assist grips and door grips have a soft texture finish, the door armrests are padded and the pillars are fabric-trimmed.
Smart packaging has improved the driving position and added 20mm to rear seat knee room and 90mm to the loadspace length. All hatchback versions provide more luggage space, at 360 litres. Repositioning of the battery pack beneath the rear seat has ensured Auris Hybrid has the same load capacity as other models in the range.
New Auris further benefits from a lower ride height, driving position and centre of gravity. The steering and suspension have been revised to help give a more comfortable, responsive and enjoyable drive.
Attention has also been paid to weight management, with greater use of high tensile steel, particularly in the upper part of the body structure. This contributes to a 10 per cent increase in body stiffness and an overall vehicle weight saving of up to 40kg (according to version), while also helping to lower the car's centre of gravity.
Toyota was the first manufacturer to offer a choice of three powertrains in the C-segment and this continues with the new model. Efficiency and dynamic improvements have been made to the Hybrid Synergy Drive system, which will be offered in Auris Hybrid. Within the UK the new model will also feature 1.4-litre diesel and 1.33 and 1.6-litre petrol engines. Europe-wide Toyota expects an even one-third share of sales for each powertrain type – full hybrid, diesel and petrol –reflecting how hybrid has matured to become a mainstream rather than a niche choice.
New Auris has been designed for Europe and will be built exclusively at Toyota's Burnaston factory in the UK, alongside Avensis, supported by investment that demonstrates the company's commitment to its European operations.
The new model will be given its European premiere on 27 September at the Paris motor show, with petrol, diesel and full hybrid versions on display. Details of UK sales introduction, specifications and prices will be announced at a later date.

Toyota is the world's leading producer of C-segment cars, having sold more than 39 million units in more than 140 countries since the introduction of Corolla in 1966. It is also the world's leading manufacturer of full hybrid cars, with more than 4.3 million sold since the first generation Prius was launched in 1997.
More than 60,000 first generation Auris Hybrid have been sold since it joined the range in 2010, making it the second most successful hybrid model in Europe after Prius.
The next generation of the Auris five-door hatchback in both regular and hybrid trims won't be alone at Toyota's Paris Motor Show stand as the automaker announced today that it will also introduce the station wagon and minivan variants of the new Auris family.
The estate model will be called Auris Tourer, or in some markets such as Germany, Auris Combi. This is the first time that Toyota has offered a station wagon body style to the Auris range.
It will launch together with the hatchback model with which it will share its entire engine range including, a 1.4-liter turbo diesel, 1.33-liter and 1.6-litre petrols and in a first for a C-segment estate model, a hybrid powertrain.
The latter uses the same setup as the Prius combining a 1.8-liter Atkinson cycle four cylinder gasoline to an electric motor and a nickel-metal hydride battery.
The Auris Touring is an important addition to Toyota's European lineup as station wagons account for around 25 percent of all compact / C-segment model sales in the region.
The third addition to the Auris family is the revamped 2013 Verso people carrier. From what we understand, this is a heavy facelift of the current model. As such, the compact minivan adopts Toyota’s new design language featuring the same, sharper front end styling, while the company notes that the interior has been upgraded as well.
The new 2013 Toyota Auris was selected for a cosmetic tune dedicated to the anime cartoon, with the Japanese automaker's in-house tuning arm Modellista taking responsibility for the transformation.
Modellista chose Char Aznable, a fictional character from the Gundam franchise, as its inspiration for the re-styling of the new compact hatchback.
After fitting the car with an aero package consisting of a deep front apron with LED daytime lights, hood vents, rocker panels, a roof spoiler and a new rear bumper with a diffuser and quad tailpipes, Modellista then applied a foil wrap in red for the body and in carbon fiber for the roof.
The Auris Char Aznable rides on a set of black 18-inch alloy wheels and also features changes inside, including red accents on the dashboard, steering wheel hub and gear shifter.
The only mechanical upgrades made to the car are the sports exhaust system and a lower and stiffer suspension.
Hotter version and estate could make it into the Auris range
A performance version of the new Toyota Auris could be added to the line-up if the standard range’s launch proves to be a success.
Toyota’s product planning chief, Karl Schlicht, said that a warmed-over Auris was “not a number one priority” but there was “room to experiment” with the car if Toyota’s European arm achieves steady and stable growth.
“The key thing for us is to run a good business first, and then start having fun later,” said Schlicht.
Both the Auris Hatchback and the Auris Touring Sports get a revised front end, an upgraded cabin, as well as new comfort and safety features. The front end sports the most obvious changes, with the reshaped headlights and bumper giving the car a more aggressive look.
Toyota didn’t get into details about the interior, but the photo depicting the cabin allows us to spot new infotainment and air conditioning systems. As for the engine lineup, Toyota said the facelifted Auris “heralds the arrival of a new petrol and diesel line-up, focusing on efficiency and performance.”
The Auris Hybrid will continue to be offered, as it has become the single most important powertrain in the lineup, accounting for half of all Auris sales in 2014. The facelifted Auris and Avensis will be built side by side in Toyota’s manufacturing plant in Burnaston, UK.

Toyota has also created a new trim for the Auris in Japan, the high-end 120T.
The 120T grade is exclusively offered with the new turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.2-liter direct-injection unit which produces 116PS (114hp) and 185Nm (136lb-ft) of torque between 1,500 and 4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a Super CVT-i transmission.
