I want comments/opinions on GC coilovers

If anyone has/had or heard anything about the Ground Control coilovers, I would like to know if you are happy w/ them. The adjustability levels, the ride, durability, etc. anything that can be said about them I would like to hear. Thanks in advance!

how can you say they suck???
do you have them and whats your opinion on them if you do.
i personally like them a lot.
there a lot stiffer than trd springs and there is little to no body roll.
the only thing i dont like is the whole shock thing but something will come out eventually that will work for them.
i like them a lot.
the cars not bouncy like the honda's you see bumpin around everywhere but its not smooth.
it has a very stiff sporty ride and i would recomend them for the money.

explain why they suck exactly...

I have had them on my car for the past 7 months, and I can say they are decent springs. The adjustments are a little hard to make because the collar gets "stuck" from time to time. I have mine lowered down to 2.5" and the ride is a little bumpy, but what do you expect with that amount of drop with factory shocks. I dont see how they "suck" exactly, although Im sure there are better brands out there. The spring itself is made by Eibach - All ground Control makes is the collar and sleeve. I'd like a little clarification on what makes them "suck", too.

I have had mine a little over a year and they are awesome.the only problem I have had is that they stick every once in a while. That's nothing a little silicone can't handle though.I recommend them.

don't expect the ride quality to improve in terms of what u're talking about if u move to the hotchkis, Tein or any other strut/coilover package. I switched from GCs to Teins. I still feel every bump in the road, maybe even more so now since the struts are much stiffer than the stock struts and transfer more of the bumps into the cabin. The car feels 100x more solid than with the GCs. The problem with GCs is that the car bounces all over the place once the struts wear out. By "bouncing" i don't mean being able to feel ever bump in the road. I mean the car actually bouncing up and down 3-4 times after a hit a bump because the struts don't have enough dampening power to stop it. GC w/ after market stuts make a nice setup too. My friend has GCs w/ Tokicos ajustables on his SI. Handles great... i like my Teins better tho =)

the differences in opinion may be the result of the spring rates everyone got. gc offers a whole line of diffrent springs for thier kits. some go with stock shocks some after market.

Thanks guys for the comments (both negative and positive), my dilemma is what type of suspension to go w/? I'm not even sure if I am going to do 17's or 18's? Based on your own personal experience, what suspension products would you go w/ or stay away from. If you are going to knock a certain product, please elaborate why, so I can understand. Thanks!
