Upon further investigation and discussion with TWM it was brought to my attention that the shift knob actually should have sit lower. We found that the little plastic clip that holds up the shift boot was keeping the shift knob from coming down lower. I have since removed that clip and reinstalled the TWM knob. It now sits as low if not lower then stock. Here's a few new pics.

Just flip the stock chrome ring at the top of the boot out and flip it upside down and reinstall it. It's a bitch, but it works. Now the top of your boot will match the small DIA. of the shift knob base.

Trust me, it looks awesome that way!
