That's like asking what ZZT231 means.

It's just a chassis code, FD3S and FC3S. FR is what they say in Japan for RWD cars. Not sure why, but I can guess it's like Front steering Rear wheel drive, fs FF which is Front steering Front wheel drive... That's just a mneumonic device for me to remember it though, who knows what the right one is

FR is not a japanese thing. It stands for Front engine Rear wheel drive. FF stands for Front engine Front wheel drive. MR stands for Mid engine Rear wheel drive.

I don't believe the NSX is considered a roadster.

MR stands for mid-engine, rear wheel drive.
true, MR just means mid engine, rear wheel drive. in fact, the car can have the engine in front of the drive and still be called a MR as long as the engine is NOT over the front hubs.

technically speaking, yes, but when a car manufacturer says their car is an MR, it means the engine sit right behind the driver/passenger but in front of the rear wheels.
Front-Midship layout is what your talking about. The engine sits in front of the car however behind the front axles. 350z and S2000's are FM layouts. I guess one can say these cars are FMR, lol.
