Has anyone ever tried this... wondering how something like this might look on a 1-2inch drop all around the car with some kind of low body kit (Veilside, ect.)

wonder if that would help your accelaration since i know 18's slow you down a bit...maybe 17's would have some effect (thou minimal if at all)...might look kinda crappy too...hehe, TIM

no but i've heard wtih going with the same size rims but differnt size tires. using 225 series in front and 245 in back

Why when you have front wheel drive? I can't say that I've seen a car with two different sized rims except for at the drag track.

You see a lot of cars with 17-18's on the rear and 15-16's on the front...

Just an idea. I figured getting 17's for the front to help acceleration, and 18's for the back to help fill in the bigger wheelwell gap in the rear common with people who use something like Veilside. Might look wierd though

From what I'[ve heard, going bigger on the back with front wheel drive will make it handle like a barge, but sure, it would look sweet

did u all not catch what Jotan said? "Timeport" the marbarro celica...has this combo with soem ACE wheels i think...it doesn't match the car and looks mismatched....i guess u all haven't been around enough to remember timeport.
