Anyone know a really good setup for rebuilding a 1zz a friend of mine got a celica and blew his motor. Im going to rebuild it for him i just want to figure out the best setup to get most power out of the engine, i belive he has minor upgrades and i dont think he will put on a turbo for a looong time, so anyone know a high compression setup? maybe instead of 10:1 and upgrading to 11.5:1 piston keep stock crank, what about the sleeves? Thanks

well if he's gonna go turbo at any point in time then i would say go with lower compression pistons, but the gt is already low enough, and maybe some upgraded valve springs? but if turbo isnt an option then just buy some MWR stuff and put back together the stock engine and call it good...
