I see it and all I can think of is Toyota Allion. See for yourselves:

Rear

Interior

With some imagination the rear is very similar, same C-pillar slope, almost same trunklid shape. Interior is not similar but that's to be expected. Toyota quite possible uses the basic chassis of the Allion.

2010 Lexus HS 250h First Drive
Entry-Level Luxury That Dares To Be Different

First Impressions: A ho-hum driving experience that is absolutely packed with the kind of features usually found in flagship luxury cars.

* 187-hp hybrid powertrain
* 3,682 pounds
* 0-60 mph in 8.4 seconds
* 35 mpg city/34 mpg highway

The 2010 Lexus HS 250h rides on the shortest wheelbase in the Lexus lineup, even if its 185-inch overall length slots it right between the Lexus IS and ES sedans. Nevertheless, the HS 250h has plenty of space for backseat passengers thanks to a roof line that could have been lifted intact from a larger car. It can also swallow four golf bags in the trunk.

Pretty on the inside

We have no problem recommending the Lexus HS 250h because it certainly gets two out of three things exactly right: the cabin experience sets a fine mark for what a luxury pure hybrid can be and the driving is enjoyable. Our V8-loving enthusiast hearts never really felt cheated when tooling around in the car – in fact, we liked it. It's only the styling that gives us pause long enough to say that we will let other beholders judge that beauty for themselves.
The first reviews are in.

Dang! It's heavier than I thought it would be. 3682 lbs is what the Lexus LS400 weighed when the 2nd generation was introduced.

I thought the same thing. :faint: The GS450h weighs 4,134 lb.

The new HS 250h is a first for Lexus as the smallest hybrid in their lineup. A capable performer that easily achieves their claimed mileage goals, it could probably go much further at the hands of a hypermiler. It shows off what is becoming the new face of the brand, and will be an important step for those craving “responsible luxury” without sacrificing ride quality and amenities.

The root cause of the difference in efficiency between the Prius and HS 250h isn't just under the hood, however. At 3,682lb, the HS weighs a whopping 600lb more than the 2010 Prius and about the same as the bigger Camry Hybrid - which, by the way, can out-accelerate the HS.

Overall, we liked the 2010 Lexus HS 250h for its well-built interior and quiet ride, which it owes to details like an acoustic windshield and triple-layer door seals. Some coarse engine noise did leak through under acceleration, though - more than some buyers would expect in a Lexus.

2010 Lexus HS 250h Full Test
Hybrid Luxury That's Right for the Times

What Works:
Good power; good fuel economy; decent dynamics.

What Needs Work:
Doesn't look the part of a Lexus.

Bottom Line:
Drives like a Lexus, only it happens to be a hybrid.

* 187-hp hybrid powertrain
* 147-hp 2.4-liter engine; 40 hp electric motor
* Smooth CVT
* 35 mpg EPA combined

it looks nice in person, saw one today. that was quicker than the new Dodge Rams, just seen one like 3 weeks ago since its release, well besides sitting on the dealership.
