Update!

Nissan Debuts Lannia Concept at Auto China 2014
http://reports.nissan-global.com/EN/?p=15077
Nissan premiered the Lannia Concept at Auto China 2014 in Beijing, its latest sedan concept geared towards China’s rising “Post-80s” generation, the ‘balinghou’.

The concept is the second model to be borne from Nissan’s design center in China, which opened the new studio in 2013.

It features signature trademarks of Nissan’s next generation design, including the V-motion grille, boomerang headlamps, a distinctive kick-up pillar, as well as the “floating” roof.

Taiji Toyota, head of Nissan Design China, says the Lannia Concept exudes “daqi” — a Chinese word that is hard to define but has the strength to push people to aspire towards better things.

Watch the video above for more details on the concept.

The Lannia Concept takes center stage at the Nissan booth during the 13th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition which runs from April 20 (the show’s press day) to April 29 at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing.

Building on Nissan's new design language, the Nissan Lannia is designed for the young Chinese trendsetters embodying their progressive spirit to the fullest.

Like them, its stylish and edgy design stands out and goes against conventions, and there is a strong emphasis on the driver's surrounding comfort and driving pleasure.

Building on Nissan's longstanding success in the sedan market, Lannia delivers a fresh, distinctive personality that China's young generations embody. As the first product developed and designed for the young Chinese generations, especially those in their 20s and 30s today who are seen as energetic trendsetters, Lannia is a tangible expression of the company's commitment to China.

Evolved from the Friend-ME concept and Lannia Concept, which debuted in China in 2013 and 2014, respectively, Lannia design development primarily was led by Chinese talent from Nissan Design China, who identify with the young Chinese generation and were able to infuse the global experience and capabilities of the Nissan Global Design Center into the design.

The dynamic exterior design with impressive face with V-motion grille, Eye-power with boomerang-shaped lighting signature in the head lamp, and the driver centric interior space with higher console top surface and shift knob.

Everything is possible with Nissan Lannia.

The Lannia is unveiled on April 20 at Auto Shanghai 2015.
