Subaru Introduces Exiga Crossover 7 in Japan
http://www.carscoops.com/2015/04/subaru-introduces-exiga-crossover-7-in.html
Essentially an production-ready version of the namesake concept introduced at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, the Exiga Crossover 7 is a jacked-up Exiga wagon.

As the biggest crossover in Subaru’s Japanese lineup, the Exiga Crossover 7 offers a spacious and modular cabin, with the second and third rows of seats folding flat when more cargo space is needed and even turning into beds by removing the front headrests and reclining the seatbacks to a nearly flat position.

The Crossover 7 is powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder Boxer petrol engine producing 173PS (171hp) and 235Nm (173lb-ft) of torque. The unit is mated to a CVT that sends power to all four wheels via Subaru’s Symmetrical all-wheel drive system. Average fuel economy is 13.2 km/l, equivalent to 7.6 l/100 km or 31 mpg US.

The new model will go on sale in Japan in May, with Subaru setting a monthly target of 600 units. Prices start from 2,754,000 yen (approximately $23,100), including an 8 percent consumption tax.

While the Crossover 7 is unlikely to be sold outside Japan, it may provide components and possibly design inspiration for the upcoming seven-seat crossover that will replace the Tribeca in the US and other markets.
