I'm honestly not sure what I'm doing different, or how altitude or any other regional factors might affect it. I haven't modded the car in any way and it seems to me that my mileage should be lower than average.
-I usually take off quicker than everyone and get up to speed quick.
-I often get over 7,000 rpm in the first 3 gears (I commute and launch down the on-ramps)
-I use only Shell gas. 91 here.
-I don't drive around with a bunch of crap in the car, but I weigh 210, so it evens out.
-I don't turn the A/C on to defrost the windows, just heat.
-I don't let the car warm up before driving off, and it has been cold for a while.
-I drive over hills that are miles long, and steep.
-My tire pressure is lower than normal.
Am I doing the math wrong? Miles driven divided by gallons to fill up, right? Fill up until it stops and not trying to top off to round off the numbers.
:shrugs:
Got me. I would think it would have to be sensors, clogged filter, or something dragging somewhere. if it gets that bad. Unless you're just revving constantly at all the stops. You don't have any stuck pulleys or anything? No weird noises or rough idle?
