2JZ powered Volvo 240

Supra powered Volvo 240
Specifically, this appears to be a post-85 245 with a 2JZ-GTE inline-six likely borrowed from an MK4 Supra. If it's untouched, it should put out the then-maximum Japanese 280 HP.

.

It's the first time I've seen a 240 with a 2JZ, usually Volvo enthusiasts in the US transplant a Chevy LS crate engine. Anyways, I like it. A lot.

The engine looks largely untouched, which means it's around 320hp at the crank which would be around 260whp.

A bit higher than that.

Usually I've seen JDM 2JZs dyno at 260whp, but USDM 2JZs are tipping close to 300whp.
Awesome.

I was basing myself on the engine being a JDM 2JZ. The location is unlikely to be the US, based on the plates.

Does the US Supra 2JZ really dyno that high? I was expecting more around 280whp?

Look at the sign behind the car... I doubt that is a USDM 2JZ
those cars are so f'ing cool.

I'd have gone with a SBC crate myself, but there's nothing wrong with the 2jz
^ i agree, as far as factory goes, i like the Volvo v70R, IIRC AWD, 4cyl turbo 5 speed.

I'd say Hongkong, since it's RHD.
